I have a couple small things I still need/want to do to it soon.
The winter just flew by & got side tracked with house & shop stuff.

Re: 1 Owner 1976 SWB

I finally did the LED bulb upgrade on the gauges this weekend.
HUGE difference. I did the gauge cluster & ac/heat controls.
I wish I could change the radio bulb too but I do plan to change to a retrosound style radio in the future.

That looks awesome! The factory dash lighting on these trucks is pretty bad, I rarely drive mine at night, but I may have to upgrade my 87.

Thanks!
Yeah my truck rarely sees dark either unless we are leaving real early for a car show or something but it was definitely worth the time to upgrade.

It well worth it. The LEDs make it brighter yet easier to look at as the light isnt harsh,

Re: 1 Owner 1976 SWB

I upgraded my headlights to LED this weekend.
I FINALLY found a set of LED headlights that the lenses look stock so I upgraded. Seems most LED's for these trucks are halos, or have a logo in the middle, or something. I was pleased these appear stock until on.
The lights are from Stark Lighting

Was it a simple plug and play or was there any wiring involved for the LED?

Very nice! I've always hated the way LED headlights look too. I may have to get some of those. Getting older, it seems I can't ever have enough light lately.

Same here Steven, .

Justin - have you driven it at night yet? If so, thoughts? Also, how about the low beam setting?

I got mine yesterday and installed one of them last night. The difference is amazing! I do have one question though. The headlight housing came with a rubber boot that seals the bulb to the housing. Did you install that on yours? I didn't as I was worried that the heat generated by the bulbs heat sink might melt it. Any thoughts? Here's some pics of my install.

I did not install those either. I was going to see how hot they get after using them for a while to see if I was going to run them.

Justin - did you have an problem getting your light's "clocked" correctly? One of mine fits good, but the other one is about 15 degrees crooked.

Re: 1 Owner 1976 SWB

I didn't have any issue with that but I did have to clock the light bulb itself.
When you turned them on the led that comes on for the high beam wasn't at the top. I felt like it should be at the top so I clocked the bulbs.

They are bright so I am a little concerned about that too.
I am leaving real early to go to a show Saturday so I should have a review after this weekend.
