Just picked up this 1979 k10 last week. Frame is rust but the body has held up well, needs rockers and has some small bubbles that need attention, going to be my daily driver.

my old '74 C20 A/C cab daily driver, retired CHP truck, likely from commercial enforcement..
original 350 4sp I converted to TH400 from '77 donor, swapped column, pedals, floor pan, never know years ago a buddy of mine begged me to sell to him and I caved

Picked up this 77 K20 Camper Special during the holidays. Need to go through and clean up the orange interior and buff out the paint, but a pretty clean and solid old K20. Had to go back to steelies and caps!

Picked up this cap for FREE today off FB Marketplace
Needs a little refurbishing, plans are to paint it blue to match the truck or maybe silver to provide some contrast. |

Lucky find for a very nice truck, some week end camping trips would be fun. I vote silver to match the rear bumper and wheels. JR

My and my brother shared Silverado C10 6.2 diesel 1984. This spring, the restoration was completed.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Long Beds Part II
I have been off here way too long. During my absence from the forum I did add a c10 long bed to my fleet. 1985 longbed 2wd with factory A/C. I saved it from the scrapyard for a very good price. Biggest reason I bought it was to put the engine and trans from my short bed in it since I decided to build a new engine and trans for the shortbed.

Re: How about some pics of '73-'87 Long Beds Part II
Some guy in my neighborhood hired a landscaper to cut down a broken tree. This was the landscaper's truck. Later that day I saw it going down the road loaded to the stops with wood.

I just made this one mine and I am super excited about it. I've been trying to buy it for a while and finally brought it home last night.
