Re: Project; Divorce Therapy ( 72 SWB 4x4 )
It's been about 2 yrs since I've touched the truck until a few weeks ago. I started with cleaning the garage so I could get to the truck and find my tools. I completed the rear disc brake conversion and I'm currently working on going through the front end completely.
Phone won't let me upload any pictures, on vacation right now. I'll see if I can when I get home.

Re: Project; Divorce Therapy ( 72 SWB 4x4 )
Progress report: I've been working on rebuilding the front end on my truck.
Took it down to an empty housing; and built it back up from there. Regeared it to 3:73s, upgraded it to the large bearing hub & spindles, larger axles, all new bearings, seals, ball joints, axle joints, new locking hub parts, brakes and paint.

Looking good. Fender clearance seems a a bit tight for up travel. One of the reasons I clearanced my fenders for the larger tires.

Re: Project; Divorce Therapy ( 72 SWB 4x4 )
It's an optical illusion, just the angle of the picture, there's actually good clearance.
I noticed that after I posted the pic. Gary

Re: Project; Divorce Therapy ( 72 SWB 4x4 )
I have a set of 15" rally rims but they don't fit over the rear disc brakes, so no plans on using them anytime soon.

Re: Project; Divorce Therapy ( 72 SWB 4x4 )
Thanks...
I've been giving a bit of a push on it lately, but my back limits me as to how much I can do. Getting cortisone shots next Wednesday, hopefully that will give me some relief... Gary

Re: Project; Divorce Therapy ( 72 SWB 4x4 )
Finally got her back on all 4's and rolling again, after a few months of completely rebuilding both front & rear diffs and adding disc brakes to the rear.

Re: Project; Divorce Therapy ( 72 SWB 4x4 )
Gary glad to see you have gotten back on this, it is a great looking truck. And I too suffer from lower back pain, so far I can get some relief from pills, but dr. said I should try injection or fusing nerves, not sure if I want to do either of them, I just do what I can and move on
Great progress, happy for you to do what ever you can, take care my friend and keep posting What’s left to do?
