Re: Lime Wife's 67
took the steering column apart to replace turn switch, paint etc. also ground off the piece for the shifter handle and filled it. Man this stuff doesn't weld good at all. I took it to work after trying at home and backed it with aluminum and filled it with rod with a tig welder. Then ground it smooth and put some filler on it to make it slick.

Re: Lime Wife's 67
only thing i knew of was a regular car show in nov. sometime/ i have drove it form south Pittsburgh into Chattanooga it shares the road with two other highways going into Chattanooga, us 64 and us 72. Hwy 72 is the only US hwy that starts and ends in the same state while passing through other states (Mississippi, Alabama) it starts in Memphis and ends in Chattanooga. I'm a highway nut (it's my passion) if you haven't noticed. Here is some pic of 41,64,72 going into Chattanooga the Tennessee river is just on the other side of the guardrail down a drop off. in the pic. oh yea interstates suck (unless your in a hurry sometimes not even good for that)

Re: Lime Wife's 67
I like to see the scenic roads. You and beth should see some of the roads just east of me (fall creek falls area, dunlap etc).
Real pretty area. You two dont strike me as hikers but you should check out greeter falls/stone door.

Re: Lime Wife's 67
Noticed fuel gauge wasn't working right, did some research the gauge is not the same ohms as the factory sender (they are available don't know why they didn't get it) but one that works with universal sender. So i took the old sender and guage hook it up to a battery to test and figured out it wasn't getting a good ground to the sender. They had the piece attached to a factory pickup with a WOOD SCREW! so the screw with the ground wasn't even touching the sender tube, so i secured it correctly and all works.

The disc swap was already done when i got it but you can use a front suspension from a 71-72 or 73-87 just a few differences from 73 on. This truck has 86 model ball joints, and calipers, spindles etc.

Re: Lime Wife's 67
there was alot of moisture in the engine, so i took the intake off to check for leaks most seem to think that its the pvc valve to blame when alot of moisture in the valve covers so i changed to a better one than that crap chrome one.
