Re: S!ck5 65 rebuild

Looks good. Will the 64-66 bed wheel wells not fit? I just picked up a steel floor the other day. Do you have any more pics of how you put the bed floor in?

Re: S!ck5 65 rebuild

I made a mistake cutting the back corners to much.for me since I have raised my floor I cut about an inch on all cross beams under that bed floor. Then notch out the back corners.
On the install you have to remove one side Of the bed.
And you need 67-72 wheel tubs 60-66 too small

Looks pretty good!

Quick question though, off subject but you don't know the diameter of the tube used on your porterbuilt bridge do you?

Re: S!ck5 65 rebuild

I got a 65 GMC as well and am in the process of swapping out the 305 for a 350. Where did you get the wiring harness for the conversion? Thanks for the info!

No problem on the size! It was good to see you again too. I'm going to try and see you guys more at the shows and what not. I was wondering about the size so I have a good variation of dies for my bender. I thought it was 1.5 .120 but apparently 1" is large enough.

Re: S!ck5 65 rebuild

working on my Accuair project. Most people have it installed under the bed. But i like the look of it on top of the bed.
I need to remove the the tank. reinstall new 3/8 air lines. i have 1/2 at the moment. I really wanted to buy the accuair au4 tank mount but dont have the cash. so i fig i would try to build my own. here some picture of the mount.

Re: S!ck5 65 rebuild

anyone know if its a good idea to weld on to the air tank? i got a few ideas for the airtank mount. using a chain to wrap around the airtank then from the chain to the accuair mount. just need to remove the tank and try it out
