Re: Project: Turbo 250
That wont be till spring unless the weather cooperates and I can get 750 miles on the truck this year. I have a 750 mile break in on the clutch and I have to break the motor and rear end in first as well. But the guy who cut my driveshaft has given me permission (he offered) to let me use his shop's parking lot to do a smoke screen and shoot any videos!

Re: Project: Turbo 250
Nice show!! Just spent the morning running down your build. When I got the the part where Bubba had smashed your bed I was about to cry!!!
I had a three month head start and you've blown by me!!! I thought my truck was rust free, man you got lucky on the WASHINGTION truck! Ours both came from the same California plant brother!! SUBSCRIBED, better late than never!

Re: Project: Turbo 250
And I've been frustrated it is taking me so long! lol especially because I have been away from the truck completely for a total of 3 months during the last year due to my clinical rotations. if it wasnt for me having to move away for periods of time, the truck would be done!

Re: Project: Turbo 250
About your drive shaft I cant remember if you had to lengthen or shorten it.
also something about that last pic of your engine, even with the unfinished wiring and hoses the lighting or something makes that shot look awesome !

Re: Project: Turbo 250
oh yeah coolant all over the place the radiator is cracked! The bike is totaled the front forks are ratchet strapped on and as you can see the headlight assy. is bouncing around allover the place! This is the bike I got hit on! I had just put a brand new tire on before getting hit and I wasnt about to let it go to waste b/c the insurance company doesnt care if it is new or blown I get the same amount! And I didnt care if the engine blew either.

Re: Project: Turbo 250
Longbed, I was going through this thread, and saw WAY back in the beginning you had a problem with your brakes, I sent you a PM on it, but figured it may be beneficial for a your response, if you remember, to be public here:
Quote:
What was the solution to this? I have the EXACT same issue with drop spindles from ECE, the bolt holes that the caliper rods go through are about 1/16 or less too far apart. Getting them shoved through, the outer brake pad seizes against the rotor.

Re: Project: Turbo 250
Well now that I havent touched the truck for 2 weeks due to all the BS busy work my professors feel they need to give us, I had to do something, soo.. I just about wrapped up the gauge panel, I just have to get the thread in nut/post that holds the healamp switch on the panel. But Its been rounded, brushed, cleared, and wired...

LOL that is just where they were when I got them from Autometer.... I am running a 4 speed sm435 trans with a 3.07 posi setup with 29.1" tall rear tires. Here is a shot of exactly what my RPM bands look like in every gear.
