I'm loving it, with the pearl it changes colors as you walk around it.

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

Got the bed fitted, had to make some modifications to the under side due to the C-Notch bolts hitting the back of the wood, also trimmed the wood at the wheels. I think the wheel housing is going to work, close fit but should be fine.

Wood is Birdseye Maple!

Just read this morning , don't know how I missed it . Great build and your shop is just awesome , I think your shop is bigger than my complete Plot . I love the E brake I am using one as well , as I work in the disability industry . We fit them on quite a few of our builds at work . I love the orange by the way .

Truck looks great. You have done a really great job on it and overcoming of all obstacles to hanging in there. Can't wait to see it in paint and orange is my favorite color so I know it will really pop. Nice shop you have and you will be enjoying your truck soon.

Thanks, I started quite a while back, worked hard for a year then took quite a while off, back on it now and hope to complete without any lengthy interruptions or delays. I'm excited about the paint color as well.

Thumbs up Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

It's coming together nicely. Chassis and drivetrain look great! I'm looking forward to seeing it painted.

That shifter looks good in that high hump. It won't be long now.

My firewall looks the same. Only 2 master for me though. I'm debating whether to make a completely new firewall or patch a ton of holes. We'll see.

Finished up a few loose ends with the Cab, it's now at paint hope to see her back in about 2-3 weeks

Time to give the chassis her first bath and have some Engine Mods in mind as well.

Re: Mesquite 1966 C10 - LS3 W/Air Ride

As often happens here these build threads are about more than just the trucks we love and work on.

Last night my 21 year old daughter was involved in a high speed collision, the result of the other driver running a red light. We got the call no parent wants to get in the middle of the night and had to drive by the scene on the way to the hospital.

Driving by a scene with 10-15 emergency vehicles (seemed like 150) will rip your heart out for sure.

Glad to say she is home with only a busted ear drum (from air bag) and a very sore body. Other drive had a cut on his head and possible concussion, both are very lucky.

Life is precious and being a parent is never easy!

Thank you Jesus that she's ok. And on parenting you're absolutely correct. I tell mine we always want to know where they are and when to expect them cause when they drive out my driveway, a piece of our heat and soul is rolling down the highway. Take care
