Great looking GMC, love the front fascia on these Jimmy's and love this color, you rarely see it anymore, really nice example and super clean.

Is that an all spring lift? Which brand did you use? I'm shopping for my springs now, I wanted the Skyjackers 2.5 in spring kit but they bump the rears to 4 inch and I want to keep the original stance (call me crazy). Very nice looking blazer!

Re: How about some pics of 69-72 Blazers and Jimmys.

I can't remember. I don't have the springs under it right now. The springs are at my parents place now. I'm headed down there this week for the 4th and will look at them to see who's they are. I do know I bought them as a 2.5" lift and the actually gave about 4" of lift.

Thank you for the compliment Jeff. It took a few years to do but the end result was worth it.
Can't wait for the nice weather to hit so I can do some top off cruisin'.

Re: How about some pics of 69-72 Blazers and Jimmys.

Thanks for the kind words...I've had a bunch of Chevy's but the last two I've had have been GMC's ...they are fast becoming my favorites just because of the low production numbers and I think the front ends do stand out also! I'd like to build it bigger but it fits in the garage by 1 inch! Sooooo....

do you know if a 1977 center console is identical to a 1972 chevy blazer? they look pretty close.

Re: How about some pics of 69-72 Blazers and Jimmys.

My dad had a red '69 4wd followed by a '72 2wd (wish I had that one now!) The very first vehicle I ever drove was his white '72. I have always had a soft spot in my heart for it, so I started looking for my own 1st gen blazer. Mine is rough but it wasn't modded or beat to death. Just worn out.

Here's the "before" shot.

Unfortunately there is no "after" shot since I'm just getting started on the project.

This is the truck that I am going to model my build after. A clean, no nonsense look.

Green is a tough color to get just right, but I love this color.

Thanks for the welcome. I had to track down some original front seats, the rear seat, and the center console. I'm planning on a restomod style rebuild with a 383, throttle body injection for drivability and meeting emissions, new springs for about 3" lift, rebuild on the drive train components, and a nice interior.

My daughter laid claim to it before my son had the chance, so when I kick the bucket she will get a nice Blazer. My son has a '66 Mustang so I don't feel tooo bad about it.

Joanne
