got the fuel line template made for the shop to make here on Thursday Also got the radiator mostly ready to mount just needs a little more insulation foam around the one edge.

Slowly coming together. Body shop is getting closer to layin pain on the cab he has been slowed up due to personal problems but its getting there

Also dynacorn has apparently released a smooth wiper cowl for the 60-66 trucks I bought one and got it in yesterday!!!! fits dam near perfectly. Will know more when I get wiper studs remounted to check the clearance on them parts number is 1106zb runs about 216 from restoration performance out of cali.

That's cool about the cowl panel. I am anxious to hear how it fits with the wiper studs in place.

Captain will be taking the wiper transmission arms and studs over on my next day off to fit them in place to check clearance on them. Hopefully they fit fine will be finnaly be nice to have at least one after market panel that doesn't needs multiple fixes lol

well while waiting on body shop (the cab is finally in for primer and painting.... hallelujah!!!!!) got to looking at my bump shifter idea and scrapped it. Well come to find out someone has designed one for the corvette 6l80e transmissions at RA designs in Washington state using a winters art carr transmission shifter setup. I got the switch kit to mount in the shifter in just waiting on the winters shifter specific for the Allison 1000 transmission to come in but really nice quality on the bump shifter switches and indicator plate. here are a few pics... the circuit board I had made for my particular setup since the Allison uses its own resistor range setup for the trucks (truck 6l80e/6l90e use the same resistor ranges). It has taken multiple resistors tries to get it within .01 k ohms of the GM specs but I finally got it. the truck tap shifter ranges are: 1.87 k ohm upshift, 2.97 k ohm down shift (1.87 + 2.10 k ohm) and total resistance across the circuit is 6.84 k ohm (1.87 + 2.10 +2.87 k ohm resistors in series) so tickled to see this thing work like I know it will. considering the mountainous area I am in it will be a big boon having this moving back to texas lol. next project will be after shifter arrives to integrate it into the existing terrain console and make it look good. hopefully by that time my garage heaters is fixed and 90% of the body parts are curing in the garage at a nice balmy 85 degrees

Also in the near future found out through a friend Darryl Nichols that dynacorn is going to release and floor board low hump for our trucks here very soon he has some pics of it on his facebook page. going to be interesting to see if it is a good fit or not

ok been busy since I got back from a lovely cruise with my wife. Will be receiving a 1964-1989 brazillian truck parts catalog in the near future kind curious to see what all they did with the inline 6 engines down there :P . Also got my winters Allison shifter in and started installing the bump shift kit from RA Designs. its coming out awesome. just need to make a cover plate and it will fit the terrain console nicely

Well started nagging at the body shop guy about when he is gonna have my truck painted and he keeps saying soon lol. He is getting ready to drop a couple coats of hi build primer on the body here soon so hopefully after Christmas bring the body home and bake it in the heating area of my garage .
Ready to get this done but having to plod along is maddening at times lol.

Also finally got the ra designs shifter and bump shifter circuit board finished and assembled into the console setup. quite happy with how it is all turning out in there
Also got valve covers and coil pack harnesses rebuilt. Needing to replace a couple the coils it looks like oh well after Christmas.

Getting closer to cab and front clip being painted. Paint guy got in trouble with the local city ordnances so it got delayed a bit :/ but all is well have a paint booth rented second weekend of march and hopefully the last issues to be overcome. We are planning to take the rolling frame down and load the cab on there at the booth and get that over with and brought back home for further work on the interior etc. Got some more accomplished on the rims picked up a set of hub caps recently along with a set of rims that are in better shape will have pics of the extra rims soon. They don't have any tires on them so I can take them down for a polishing then load some tires on them . The 1/2 inch spacers area winner when it comes to the hub caps. There is a tiny gap visible but not enough to make a noticeable difference as you will see here in the pics. I put one on for a test fit need to get the rest in place and take pics. So totally happy that worked out!

Getting closer and closer to having the cab reinstalled on the frame just trying to be patient with my bodywork guy he is slow as S*** but he is doing it right so baring with him.. Praying it happens next weekend since I have a paint booth rented for him :/ . In other news got the trans cooler lines and thermostat mostly installed and ready to go. Just have to pick up a cooling fan for that setup here soon and get it onto the cooler setup. Also need to look at a transmission thermostat for in the cab. Beginning to wonder if I am gonna have anywhere to mount the PIA due to how much junk I have planned to stuff into or near the dash at this time lol. Oh well cross that bridge when I get there.. nicely figuring things out myself cost me for the whole setup the same as going with just the aftermarket hose kits very pleased with that bit of savings lol

Another thing I got started on was working on the Silverado driver side bracket clearancing it from the coolant crossover piper from the Kodiak truck. So far coming along well it is clearing the pipe quite well. Just have to get the power steering pump and pulley installed and do another mockup and see how well I am doing.
Should be further along in the next week or so probably tackle installing the pump to the bracket tomorrow and go from there..

Well about time he finally got the primering done and started painting the truck. Still a ways to go he had a run in the clear so he is going to have to take it back down again. Also bed is going to take awhile longer since all the panels were beyond saving :/ so there goes a while saving for the longbed fleetside bed sides, front bed panel, and radiator cowl panel. Oh well murphy again nothing new there. Also got all the bed base rails done in raptor liner along with a few other parts

Still have a ways to go on the body but it is getting there. Cab is home getting ready for a last few patches and then interior floor and firewall cab bottom are getting raptor lined dark blue. Once that is cured it can go back on the frame and I can get it cut and buff before reassembly. The rest is going to be a few months longer but nothing worrisome or problematic just taking time lol. I got a delay wiper system ordered from Tanson enterprises and am waiting for that to come in here this week. Also went and ordered the dapper lighting 575 kit.
Also got the last set of crimpers I will ever need rotflmao Delphi 15370042 800 series crimpers that will do 8 gauge wire for my fuse box and amplifier connections. While waiting on my body guy I went back and started work on the hydroboost spacer plate the template is made just need to get a cnc plasma cutter to cut one out and it will be done and ready to go.

Well body shop is slower than dog drool but he's getting it there cab is painted but unfortunately not quite finished. He had a run in several spots of the clear so he will be roping off an area in my garage to fix that issue as well as getting the undercoating sprayed onto the floor and firewall of the cab. the blue turned out sweet and pretty very very happy with it So may 23rd that will be finished and back on the frame. The rest of the body he will getting two when his new shop is set up and going. I also am going to just buy a set of the new repro bedsides as finding a good bedside up in the northwest is damed impossible :/

Also received my Newport wipers kit in and like it very much just have to aquire the switch assembly for the delay setup to go with it, Did some digging on this critter and apparently the motors he is using are from Thomas bus's. Also I saw Detroit speed has released a nice kit as well but is twice the price of the Newport ones :/ I did of course have to tinker with the connector assembly on it for some Delphi improvements with a locking connector. Spade terminals just offend me something fierce lol.

And lastly for the moment started putting shocks on the frame and blasted murphy decided to poke his nose in again. On the rear shock mounts that rivet in the frame apparently they ran out of the 3/4 ton shock brackets at the factory the day my truck frame was built :/ so on the passenger side I have a 9/16th sized shock post and the driver side is a 5/8 shock post??!!??? I m ean really /sigh
lol so my friendly machinist Dirk is going to make a sleeve for it to solve the problem.

Yup no seam on it and the shocks i have slide right over it with no problem lol

That's odd to have 2 different size shock studs..........something I would expect to see on a Ford

Yeah i know baffled the crap out on me bit found out checking shocks at the parts store 1/2 ton used 9/16th mounts and 3/4 -1 ton used 5/8 *chuckles*
Probably the frame assembly group grabbed two different ones by accident would be my guess. My machinist friend is making a sleeve to fix the problem should have it week after next.

Well sleeve is in place and all the shocks are mounted now. Tuesday Body shop guy is coming by to get the undercoating on the floor and firewall of the truck. Hopefully mid to end of june the cab will back in place and ready for wiring and other parts to go in. Also while out in the garage I went back and reworked the trailer hitch brake harness just wasn't happy with how it looked and sat on the frame. No it looks much smoother and I happier for it.
