I just saw this, it wasn't a sales pitch but this one is. We make them in any tube size 1.25, 1.375, 1.5, 1.75, 2" with one , two or three bungs in 3/8 pipe, 1/2 pipe, 14mm, 22mm or any combination of.

You need to trim the back at the corners and add some in the middle back. Do to the 1958 Impala has a V shape to the bumper and the trucks have a slight curve. This also depends on how far back you what it. You could add to the back the whole length, but you will have a continental kit bumper on the front. It will stick out 7-8 inches at the point.( ankle buster!!!!!!!!!!!!! )

In the first picture I didn't like the fit, missed it by about 5/16th of an inch.
What was it, oh yah "measure once and cut twice", thaaat doesn't work .

Took what was left of the original door, which worked out well for a better fit
and tacked it in place.
