Restored a set of 87 Charcoal Black for someone.

Something a little different for me. But I had someone that asked if I would do a front & rear set of 67-72 Blazer Belts, Saddle Tan is the color. So these were throughly cleaned and freshened up with color. Received New Emblems. And replaced one of the buckle covers that was MIA.

Here’s a set of SaddleTan I Restored for someone. These received new webbing and new emblems.

I like the work that is being done to restore these seatbelts. Very nice!

400k+ miles of use have shredded the webbing on the original belts on my 1978 C20. I bought another set from Ebay. These are not shredded, but the inertia reels barely work, presumably from years of non-use.

The restorations shown on these pages seem to be for non-shredded belts and for working inertia reels.

Is there a fix for either of these problems?

Absolutely, the mechanisms, that’s part of the restoration. That all gets cleaned, rust removed and lubed for better function.
The frayed and shredded webbing has to be replaced. But as long as it’s still in good condition, they can be cleaned.
If you have look at all the belts that I have posted, there have been several that show how bad the mechanisms are, and I have been able to get them working again.

Thank you for your answer. Do you replace the webbing? What is your cost for this webbing replacement? If I decide to get this done, then I would send the set with the shredded belt but working inertial reels (the originals to this truck.)

Before and after on a set of badly faded Mahogany belts. Did the best I could to add color to the faded areas. These were actually a good candidate to be rewebbed, but he was happy with the results.

These were restored for someone. Charcoal Black and these sure needed some help. First order of business was replacing the broken counterbalance on the Drivers side retractor. Next up was taking care of of the rust and throughly cleaning the belts & mechanisms. All the buckle covers, emblems and lap buckle needed replaced with good parts.

Another set cleaned & Restored for someone. These had pretty rusty mounts also, like the last set. These also had some sort of yarn wrapped around the mechanisms. Disassembled the buckles for through cleaning. Once these are all cleaned up, I know these retract better after getting that yarn out of there!

These were restored for someone. Cleaned & Restored. 77-79 Blue. Started out pretty rough, I had my concerns, but they turned out pretty good. Check out the Before & After

Something out of the norm from the 73-87 belts, but these were cleaned & Restored for someone. 67-72 Saddle belts. Buckles were disassembled for through cleaning. Also received new emblems.

This is an order that has been in the making for quite some time now, but they are finally finished!!
Had a request for a custom color for a 79. The color needed to match his seat and interior parts.
So I started off with a tan set of belts, which someone had already painted the retractor covers a god awful teal color🤷*♀️. Cleaned all the old paint off, throughly cleaned and prepped for the new color. Also, all New Buckles, Lap Buckle and hardware was installed when the belts were sent for the New Webbing.
Big job that took a long time to complete, but they turned out awesome.
