Ok...so I took the front end apart again today and cut another 1/4 coil off the front coil springs, 1/2 coil cut off total, this brought it down about 1 more inch. This is 2" drop spindles and 2" drop coils with 1/2 coil cut off. It started out as a 4/6 drop spindle/spring kit. What do you think? Cut more? Leave it alone?

I love your truck. But I wouldn't venture an opinion on the stance unless you parked it on the flat on the street
(like across the street from the driveway and under the palm tree), and took a long shot to check it out.

No matter. The truck is wonderful at any stance.

But that way, we'd get to see another nice shot of your truck, too.

I cut down the jungle around the truck, and cleaned up the scrap. Gotta make a recycle run to get money to put toward the truck.

I am all up and in love with your "engine decision"!!

Being a Looooooooong time Pontiac Nut.....this is EXACTLY what I will be doing to my 68 GMC.

Although minus the aluminum heads....I am building a 1970 Pontiac 455 HO engine with its original #64 heads for the 68 now...!!

Keep me up to date with your project!!! Love it!

May not be truck related but I bet that was a hell of a lot of work!

I came out to this today

That didn't last as long as I hoped it would...

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Wasn't today but Saturday. Got the e-brake fixed. Bad cable and linkage. Then got the timing straightened out. Somewhat. Runs better, but still sucking gas. It will backfire through the carb when it is still cold while you are under throttle, but once warmed up she runs great. Not sure where to proceed from there. Still have a minor dieseling problem as well. Not near as bad as before but still there.

I think the stance looks great, I would leave it like that

Let's see. Five lug conversion, new brake all around, got all five new wheels mounted, and had new tonneau cover made.

it's getting close. Just needs an exhaust. It will get 3" x-pipe set up and spintech mufflers.

I installed 2 6X9 4 way speakers in my doors today and here is the picture on the flat street, under the palm tree, in front of the driveway you suggested I take (it was getting dark when I took the picture). What do you think?

A PERFECT stance.

It was working towards working on my truck, so that works for me.
And yes it was a lot of work.

Hope you can get the muffler fixed easily.

Well, 69GWC, you made me go to work this evening. I broke out my LMC "bottom" trim, measured twice, and cut it.
(Sidebar: I wish LMC wouldn't ship with all that nasty "popcorn"....What a mess to chase those kernels that got away around the driveway).

So, it was just me, 3M, a fine file, the band saw, some anti-scuff tape for the cuts. Here's the end result...BTW, I had previous trim problems and didn't want to drill holes in the tail gate.
However, the stock chrome center piece needed to be screwed on for various reasons.

This is all pre-paint. So, the mock up is done. Maybe for a few years. The SS strips are on there rock-solid with two runs of 3M 7/8" double stick trim tape.
