Re: What did you do to your truck today?
My SPI black Epoxy Primer arrived today. I was just going to test shoot a couple of panels and see how it looks, experiment with which reducer to use, which tip to use, etc etc. But it's laying on so good I'm gonna paint the whole front end! It's a coming out a shiny satin. pics to follow

I think I will actually incorporate it into my build since the shifter knob I made is wooden, and I am building a flat bed. Should tie it all in. Steven

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
They finally found where I bought starter at Autozone and replaced it. Put the new starter on and noticed turned over kinda slow, charged battery and started her up. I pulled the positive battery cable off and truck died. I took alternator to Autozone to have it tested, it was bad so I bought a new one. I think I've replaced everything but belts and water pump.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I got the fan shroud mounted and the fuel filter changed. In preparation for the drive to the CPP gathering, I got the temporary seat belts installed. I received the fabric today for the new seat upholstery. Obviously it didn't come in time to have the seat done by this weekend's trip.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I just moved engines around. Loaded up the cracked 250. went to pick up the 283. took both to the storage shed. picked up the spare 250 from the storage shed and brought it home. Hope to start installing it on Thursday evening. Hope it runs. I have never had it in anything since I bought it last year or was it the year before?

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
I changed the fuel filter after running about 20 gals of fuel through gas line. New tank, sending unit, but same fuel line on frame. NASTY

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
continued painting..
SOO much better than can-o-flage.. We're going to do the roof black & the stripe white. It's temporary so the neighbors don't continue to [bleep] about it. So, it's obviously not a quality job, but it's better than what it was. lol - the white is brighter in person.. phone doesn't like it.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Put a heater blower motor in. The third trip to the parts store, I finally got a good motor. The first one I brought home squealed worse than the old one. Took it back they didn't have one, had to drive to another town to get one.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Ah the weekend is here and I hope to have brakes by the end of it. I got my new master cylinder and booster yesterday and will be at my father in law's to day to fab a bracket. He is a retired machinist and has a full shop! I dont have a garage and I am dependant on decent weather for the time being. Can't wait until summer so I can really tear into this. Nothing beats a sunny day, the radio, and a couple of cold beers while working on a project with my kids.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Well, not today - yesterday when I got home form work. I installed the stainless bracket I made complete with stainless studs, washers & nuts for my radiator recovery system & washer jar & pump combo. I flipped the voltage regulator & horn relay to the other side of the radiator support and ran the wiring through the hole for the headlight plug. I ran the overflow hose through the opening receiver-drier sight glass. I tested the washer pump and it works. All in all I'm happy. I mounted horns from a 75? Chevy truck to each side of the radiator between the grille and the radiator support & used existing mount bolts to attach them. I only had to drill two 1/4 holes for all of this. I hate drilling new holes. There's always that chance I might be welding them back up in a few years from now.

I tested the wiring of my new tow-bar. My East-Germany micro mobile home fits perfect to the C10, isn't it?

What a nice looking package. I bet you'll have a lot of fun with that and draw a lot of attention doing it.

Re: What did you do to your truck today?
Didn't do any work on projects, but we did chase down a lead on some 1940's CEO trucks. Found them and got a contact number/name. There were 4 of them and all pretty decent BUT the sad news-- they turned out to all be F**d's Sorry guys, thought it was a good lead....
