Welcome to the forum.
To do a build thread, click on "forums" on the tool bar, then under "The 1960 - 1966 Chevrolet & GMC Pickups Message Board" there is a sub forum "Projects and builds". Click on that and then click on new thread, upper left.

Or just click here,

Good luck with the project.

Got back after dark yesterday (so didn't post) from picking up an 94 five lug 3:42 posi (we'll see...) for my '71. Spent most of the day rearranging my shop to have a little more room to work.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I went to auto fair yesterday and bought new aluminum radiator, headlight bezels, door lock and key switch kit(one key), and the blazer tank conversion. Special thanks goes out to Jason at Daves Truck Parts for being so helpful. He was able to answer all of my questions and questions my brother had for his '65. I can't wait to get the truck back from the shop that is putting on my new heads. So ready to burn the back tires off of this thing!!!!

Wink Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I did a couple of things. I started by cleaning then polishing my Boss 338's with Never Dull. They look great. I wished I knew what to put on them to keep them looking good...
Then I worked on the alignment of my hood. I got it better than it was but have 2 ribets that are loose on the left side so I plan to check around and see what I can find tomorrow.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I bought Minwax 'color express' Onyx , make sure you sand the wood well and tape off the ends of the spokes before you apply the stain I had to do mine with 2 coats.

No problems mine are about 4 and a half inches deep and leaves enough space in between the tranny

Not sure yet but I did use a spray foam insulation around the cup holders and bedliner on top of that.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

I installed an new radio with Bluetooth to stream Pandora, stainless steel sill plates and checked my timing. Today was a good day.

Oh yeah, lady in a car looking at her phone destroys the car next to me just one lane over. Of she was in my lane it would have been me an my truck she destroyed.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Spent the weekend with friends who helped do a overhaul on my truck. I brought in the parts (and few runs to the store) and a very good friend from VA drove in with tools and 8 cases of craft beer unavailable in Nashville.

Top end rebuild, new intake, new carb, waterpump, fuel pump, tuneup, new radiator, fan/fan clutch/shroud and distributor rebuild. Font suspension overhaul of brakes, all bushings and ball joints tire rods, ubolts, springs and shocks and rear shocks (the rear springs will have to wait as bolts broke trying to get to them and we ran short on time)

We had some issues here and there including some broken head bolts.
Don't trust Felpro head bolts everyone. Also LMC Ubolt sizes are wrong.

Before http://i.imgur.com/CQKXM.jpg
During http://i.imgur.com/1Yo7M.jpg
Almost Done http://i.imgur.com/P9aCd.jpg

Still have a few things to do but its pretty much done. Just needs a power steering belt and some hose NTP fittings for the heater.
