Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
i think the gold will look ok i think it will be more of a dull brass colour
ever considered plasti dip for the gold on the lettering ? from wat i understood you spray on a couple of layers and the pull of the stuff around the script if it doesnt look good you can pull the rest off as whell i found a couple of youtube clips of the aplying of the stuff..... it seems you need a pretty scharp edge on the sprayed item to split the stuff you need to pull off from the stuff that needs to stay allso i dont know if it comes in other colours than black http://youtu.be/FchIWF8Vi2Y

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
I think it will all depend on the shade of gold you are talking about....if it's bling bling 24K gold I don't think it would look right but a darker toned down almost brassy looking might not be bad.

And this is why all our trucks look different! We all have different opinions of what looks good! You rock the gold, Mike! You rock it!!

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
I will try the gold on the trim and see , if it doesnt work i aint to big to say i screwed up ! I used to work part time for a body guy and his motto for me was "YOU CANT SCREW UP ANYTHING THAT I CANT FIX !" LOL, so we will use that approach !

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
here is an example of what I think you are doing with the moldings?
wood bed kit color? Here is a good example of gold color working pretty well with the theme of this local truck here in south florida.

Re: 67 cheby's Dropmember build thread
The wood bed and wheels tie it all together.....nice truck and it was the one I was thinking about when I first read about the gold.

I vote yes gold, but subtle and satin. It says "nothing on this truck went untouched"
