Re: What did you do to your truck today!

got my cm prepped for running the exhaust through it. I gotta cut the tubes a lil' shorter before welding them in. I just might cut one in half and use the two halves.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

My son drove my '67 swb steeper out to my house in the country today, first time on the road since we just finished building it.

Just one slight problem, it died and would not start about 3 blocks from my son's house.

We went back to my son's and got some supplies and tools. He checked for spark-ok, checked for fuel at carb, none. He finally isolated it to the tank as being why there was no fuel getting to the carb. He removed the pickup tube/sending unit and found that the sock had broken apart and plugged the pickup line.

Got the line all cleared out and away we went, it got home ok.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Today I yanked the old, dead I6 250 out of the engine bay. Tomorrow I hope I will be posting that the new, healthy I6 250 is put together from breather to oilpan and back in the truck.

Re: What did you do to your truck today!

Got an O2 bung welded into the header reducer. Going to put the truck on a chassis dyno and tune the motor, needed the O2 bung for that.
