This Elephant keep getting bigger, and I am trying to eat it one bite at a time. I am refreshing the interior...top to bottom. I will move to the engine/mechanical next. I am trying to keep from getting it repainted....I don't want to turn a 16 year old loose on a $$$$ paint job. You know how kids are these days...come home keyed or ran into. I will deal with the exterior when we get there...me and my son are having so much fun!!

I was in the same boat with my son a few years ago with our 72 C10. I did the same thing as you are doing. Interior, freshened up the drive train, new brakes. He drove it to high school and out of town collage. Those parking lots are brutal! Now we are in the middle of a frame off, nut and bolt restoration.

I think that's a good plan. Plus the original paint is still pretty nice. Are you leaving everything stock?

Re: 72 GMC Sierra Grande "She is Home" Pics!!!

IMO I would leave the radio and steering wheel stock, a lot of people cut out the radio hole and put a new radio in there but nothing looks quite as nice as an original radio. Maybe try and find an am/fm so it's still practical or get one of the newer digital radios that fit the same holes as the older radio. There are tons of options out there, just remember it's only stock once. I'm sure whatever you end up doing with it will look great
