Re: post up your camping pics
Man I would love to go on trips like that once I get my gmc finished! Mosesburb also has some cool camping pictures in his build thread.

Re: post up your camping pics
does anyone have one of those airmattresses made by truck bedz that has cutouts to fit around the wheel wells? I've got a 91 burban and was wondering how well they actually fit, and if they are worth it or not. Or will a standard queen size fit back there?
any more camping pics anyone?

I don't have a 4x4, but I like this thread. This was the first camping trip with the truck, just an overnight in Tofino, BC (West coast of Vancouver Island).

Re: post up your camping pics
we love camping & quadding! you know how sometime your wife takes forever to get ready? this was one time it definiatly payed off. we always spend at least a week at davis lk, this was '09. our picnic table is under the gray mosq. tent
my buddy's trailer across from us this happened just hours before we got there. ranger said it was like a tornado dropped on the lake. we passed a dodge with a crushed cab & an escort with the back half wiped off going out on a flatbed, another guy had his spine crushed when he got hit by a tree. around 1500 tree's this size came down.this is where we were camped here's the table, driven 2 feet into the ground where my buddy's trailer was parked because we had a chainsaw & winch, we helped the rangers & other people clear a path to the other side of the lake where people were stranded |

Re: post up your camping pics
Here are some with the truck when it was 2wd and some later. In the campfire one the backend is in the background. That was on our annual weekend before Memorial Day "lip walk". We used to take fishing pole and try and fish but poles got broken and people hooked so we just said heck with it and hike, play wilderness frisbee golf, drink, and sit around the fire and tell lies. It started when we decided something like our hunting campfire experiences needed to happed more than once a year. Every year we go to a different location and drive until we hit the snow line and back off a a few hundred feet in elevation. No mosquitos, or other campers so a good time is had by all.

Re: post up your camping pics
Thanks Dieseldawg142. Yes the country side is beautiful, especially when it stops raining or snowing and the sun pokes through. Lots of good fishing if you are into that sport. Those lakes you refered to i'am not fimilair with. Not from around these parts, but my wife is. Been here now for 4 years. Still lots to see and explore. Hoping to get out camping more and exploring some trails.

The truck has a TH400 with shift kit. Dease lake is about another 6 hour drive from kitimat. This year so far winter has been mild. Snow has been disappearing fast and we have our fair share of rain too which is helping with snow removal. |

Re: post up your camping pics
with summer just around the corner, time for a thread resurrection! first trip out this year. with the river hi & the snow low, hard to get some good riding in, but the weather was stellar (mid to upper 80's)
heading in to one of our fav. spots rain has wrecked the road, a little bit of off-camber left the trailer up the hill, truck really is in there somewhere nice little spot, creek right beside us riding where we can |
