Wow! Very nice we want to see that one at the next WA Truck Club meeting! Just a suggestion about that fire starter..er..air cleaner you have. Nothing but bad stories and experiences with backfires and carb fires from those things. I would really hate to see your new paint job get flamed. We are all on a mission to help everyone protect their trucks and investments here so don't take this the wrong way as criticism. I am just passing on my experience and that of others. I had an extinguisher handy when mine went up like the 4th of July...LOL!

nice truck. Did you use stainless screws to put in the door panel? It looks great.

Thanks for the feedback fellas. 71gmcfanatic, yes i did do the body work myself. Since this is the first resoration project i have done, i wanted to do as much of it by myself as i possible could so i could learn the most out of this project. The only things i had done were the interior upholstery and getting the 383 built. I really wanted to build the 383 with my uncle (he's a mechanic) but i just didnt have the time so i bought one. i got a pretty good deal for only 600 bucks though But yeah, i went with a 4/4 drop cause i wanted a rake look, but now i realize that the back is just too high up so i am gonna put blocks on it to lower it another 2". stllookn, i didnt know about these air cleaners. thanks for the advice. i will get another cleaner as soon as i get some more money. wish i knew about this before i bought it though, but i guess its all part of the learning process. anyways, thanks for the comments fellas.

Looks sweet! One thing, WATCH THAT BRAKE FLUID LEAKING OUT OF THE RESERVIOR!!! I made the mistake of overfilling the m/c on my Nova. Didn't realize that it was leaking out of the lid and it literally stripped the frame, innerfenderwell & steering column right down to bare metal... Hate to see it screw up your nice paint. Gotta hand it to you, you did a nice job! Is that you shooting the truck or did someone else actually spray it for you?

Very nice work, I like the door panels, and the screaming green paint. I'd second the air cleaner thing, my 67 had one of those triangular edelbrock foam jobs on it when I bought it, one carb backfire and I ended up with a hole and a circle of crispy foam on the inside of the hood, they are junk, ditch it and get a good K&N or similar.

Your rig is looking nice! I've had mine sitting in primer sice late september. I hear you on needing to lower the rear some more. My rig is sitting exactly the same as yours does right now. I'll be ordering early classics 6" drop kit in about a week. Hopefully mine will have the paint on it by april. I could have had it done by now but, I'm a lazy sob.....
