Re: What did you get done? 04/05

s10fan: my sincere condolences. keep your head up.

saturday: went to u-pay u-pull as they were having a 50% of sale. i was hoping to get door panels / sun visors / window seals. after 2.5 hrs i left with the cab molding off a 74 dually and a pocket full of fuses. it's not mint, but i'm going to restore and probably use it. for $4.15 i'm not too worried about it.

sunday: i tackled the purple tint and bubbled eye brow in my truck. a razor scrapper and some MEK made easy work of it. can't believe i hadn't done it sooner. it really cleaned up the overall appearance.

sometimes it's what you remove that makes the biggest difference. i also cleaned out the bed and washed it.

at 930 sunday night my truck had a close call with a saturn, whilst it was parked. 2 extremely intoxicated sobs in a saturn busted thru 2 sets of 8ft high chain link fence, narrowly missing my truck by 16".

the only damage was caused by the fence collapsing over my truck. a scratched bumper and tail light and the rear axle outta of alignment due to the fence tensioner cable pulling the rear tire in.

phew. the cop that was on the scene is out for justice and insisted i call him to ensure all the damage to my truck is properly documented and repaired.

...must be a chevy guy.

I didn't do any thing truck related, was planning on putting my seats in my truck, but the upholster has barley started on seats, oh well, maybe I'll get them before summer
