Man, that is one nice garage. Looks like you could move right in almost. What is the pitch on that roof? Do you ever sleep or do you just look out your bedroom window and admire your new garage? I think I would!

Man that's great!!! The loft for storage or office space? Is that a kit to get the garage door track that opens at the same angle as the roof? Cool shop....wanting to build a 40x60 here but it is still a couple years off.

86swb,... the roof has an 8/12 pitch. Pretty steep for roofing, but I needed it for the storage room upstairs. 72gord,...the garage door tracks on the "vaulted ceiling" side, are about a $75.00 option that the garage door guy suggested. Well worth it, in my opinion. It keeps the doors up and out of the way. Hopefully I can move in next spring.

Just beautiful. Please post some more pics when you get the inside outfitted. Would like to see how it's laid out when crammed full of floor tools, work benches and cabinets.
Congrats. You did earn it. Rich |

Nice job on your 'pouthouse'. Congrats. I'm sure the long nights ahead will provide lots of ideas. I catch some flack once and a while about the 'garage'. Keep the old lady in good regards. Nice use of the upstairs. Storage? Office? Den? Bedroom? Keep us posted.

What are your building dimensions (slab)? you spent a small fortune on the roll up doors alone. How much did you do yourself. That upstairs is going to be great. Like so many others I am green with envy. Really nice setup.

chevybill,... It's a 30x50. I had to pour footers and 4ft. short walls because of all the fill it was built on. A 6 inch floor is poured inside the walls,... 6 inches down from the top. That way I can hose the floor out, without getting the walls wet. I cleared the land last fall, (42 trees), and had a spot leveled out that sat all winter. I hired out the concrete in May,... and with the help of a few friends,... I got to this point by September. It will have a small bathroom, and water and electric, seperate from my house. Yes I probably have a small fortune in it,... but I'm not building another one. Like I said,... I am done for now. I will have to work nights and weekends to finish the rest. (wiring, plumbing, sheetrock, painting, etc.) Thanks again for all the kind words. lolife99.

Damn, that makes my 20x30 look like a dog house in size, and yours is much nicer also. Whoever built my garage was definitely not a car nut. My ceiling is probably too low to even pull a motor with a cherry picker. The wall baseplates sit on the concrete, and it's not insulated. I'd like to one day insulate and sheetrock mine so I can heat and cool it. Yours is a SWEET deal!

I printed out the pics and gave them to my wife. Told her I had found my Christmas present; pictures so there would be no mistakes in what I was asking for. LOL

I have always wanted to move to MO. Make room for my furniture it should be arriving in a year. Very...Verry...Verrry Sweeeeeet. Lovin' it a lot. I have a visual idea of a barn style garage/loft but I might have priced myself out of it.

I have held a credo for years - bigger garages are good in two ways - more stuff - less grass to mow....

orangeuavol,... the roof is 8/12 pitch. That gives me just a little over 7 ft of headroom in the upstairs storage area. Anyone close to me have a dumptruck and a bobcat? I need ALOT of gravel hauled!
