Re: Is there any cure for our affliction?
Have seen several 69-72's done in the 68 trim and I think it's charming. The average Joe doesn't know the difference. That's what's neat about these trucks is so much is interchangeable.

Re: Is there any cure for our affliction?
My 1st truck was a '58 when I was 18 had it it for over 2 years. Then I had a '67 El Camino for a while before I got into 67-72's in 1982 and haven't gone without at least one ever since. I've had a '60 and an '80 some where in there but haven't had a '70 yet [And I say YET] I've never looked for a cure and gonna start.

Re: Is there any cure for our affliction?
To answer the question in the title, my answer is Yes. Just marry the wrong woman, but that's not all. Make sure she has borderline mental illness. For further instructions feel free to PM for details . Desire has gone nowhere and I'm still hoping for my relapse to take over all control again. Not nine trucks again. Just get jumpin' on the two I have and the other scratch-built K/30 DRW flatbed. Just Sunday I was at my neighbor up the street's place. His son was there, so I stopped in. I'm not on friendly term with his dad, my neighbor, anymore. He proved me right again, for feeling this way. BUT, he is parting a C/20 that had a factory flatbed that is still straight with all the bed strips. He distorted a few when he tore out the rotted wood. The fool never heard of a cutting wheel I guess. Son confers, would have taken no effort to cut all the bolts. Anyway, $300, and I also need a frame and this one is clean. I'm losing sleep over being to broke to buy at least the bed. He son is going to list the parts and I asked if he could wait till after Trucks at Carlisle coming up. So, he's leaving the bed off the listing till then. who has $300 to lend?? He left and before I left I spoke again to the dad about the bed. It was as if we never discussed how I expressed interest but had said I wouldn't want to hang up the sale, to which the son offered to hold it. I reaffirmed the hold till after Carlisle and he said, "That's fine but you know it's first come first serve". Such an a-hole. I could go on and on about how he does people dirty. Many many people. His word is sh!t.
