Re: Tractor thread?

This is my 64 John deere 110 that kept me pretty busy last winter. I tore it down to every nut bolt and spring and sandblasted everything myself in a hf cabinet and only had to have the frame, rims and rear fenders professionally done because of the size. Transmission case had a portion of the mating flange cracked off the cad to be brazed back together. New tires and belts and a decal kit finished it nicely. I thought about selling it but I kinda like it but with the new truck space is an issue. I have a wheel horse b100 and c100 as well that I do heavy mowing with one and winter plowing with the other

Re: Tractor thread?

howdy y'all! been a while but this thread caught my interest

at first I saw tractor tread and was all like heck yah, just put two sets of Firestone Radial All Traction 23° R-1 tires (made in Iowa ) on the back of the 706 and 886 this summer LoL

886 RR went flat on me but both IH tractors been needing tires for a while.. extremely old, weathered and dry rotted, surprised the made it this long..

even bought three new wheels to replace the rusted out wheels from calcium chloride fluid.. ironically the one rear that went flat had a replacement wheel from a few years ago but I was able to find three of the same down in Clinton.. the valve stem just fell out of one of the old ones

That's cool Kirk, especially with it being in the family since new.

That's a cool story, nice work!

My dad just picked up this one, 1979 John Deere 401C Loader Backhoe. Built in Dubuque, Ia (the factory is celebrating their 75th anniversary this year).

Thanks. My three kids and their spouses along with my seven grandkids in the picture. My four grandsons were giving a pedal tractor when they turned a year old and the granddaughters get a Radio Flyer wagon (wagons didn’t get in this picture). The 520 JD on the far left I inherited from my Dad. The rest are owned by my son and I.

me too! I wish he would have kept that 8N but it only depreciated $217.50 in 7 years for trade in on the 641 which is much similar in utility application as the N series

I don't have the serial but out of curiosity I looked it up and it appears 1957 was the first year of the 601 series with only 1000 units made

https://www.tractordata.com/farm-tra...-ford-641.html

our 641 is 4cyl gas 4spd with trans pto (disengages with clutch) vs live pto available in other models

it was repainted back in the 80's, friend of my dad was a painter and he painted the IH 706 and the Ford 641 at the same time - both International red

one of these days after I retire I would like to restore it to original red color and replace the decals.. it's already converted to 12 volt

there's a small tractor shop in Bates City that always has several out front for sale - might pick one up some day, handy little critters!

we pass it every time we go to Bates City BBQ - one of our family's favorites since I was a kid

Re: Tractor thread?

I'll have to find some pictures. I have a B2650 Kubota with a front end loader & various 3 point and loader attachments. Use it all over our 5 acres.

Cool a Late 8N.

I know the kids had a fun time with that.

I have been wanting a swinging drawbar for my 8n.

It has the bottom plate and what appears to be the original pin.

L series right? My b2650 I'm pretty sure was a transition from the b to L series because it's definitely a bigger framed machined from my buddies B2601. I love it, perfect size for what I need. I did just find out I'm getting a John Deere 1530 with FEL and 6 foot bush hog from the old owner of the property we bought last year.

L2501 - no emissions garbage.

It's done a bunch of work the last couple weeks clearing snow.
