And those guys who carried guns to defend God and country on the beaches of Normandy? Where would this country be without guys like that?

Ah Geeez ... Just when I start to feel like my affair with trucks was based on the simple principles of hard work and utility over fashion, somebody reminds me that all trucks are inextricably linked to guns and the need to defend what's mine as an American. Dang!

Because the cops are allowed to carry guns in their cars, right? Seems sad that someone would get shot for possession of a holstered weapon independent of any intent or act of aggression. Bummer!

Re: John Lee gets a holster

I'm retiring soon and will be traveling the country enjoying all it has. I've already checked Texas as a state to avoid and now I can add NC. Just what the world needs, more paranoid people packing guns. This isn't the old west.

I'm not sure whether it mass paranoia or a fashion statement.

Amen.

Its unfortunately getting worse in our County, land of the free...home of the brave , when those who take for granted thier freedom and the price that others paid to serve and stand up for the rights of this great nations freedom are warm in thier homes after a full meal , own a computer and have enough education to use it, are confused about someones holster and are selfish enough to type about it. I suggest spending some time in a 3rd world country, come home to this one and volunteer some time at the local VA Hospital. You might even hang an American flag on your home ( if your neighborhood ccr's will let you).

Re: John Lee gets a holster

I get real tired of people killing each other in God's name. I'm sure that's not his intention even though people have been doing it for centuries. The last war that we were truely fighting for our freedom was WWII. Our freedom had nothing to do with any since then. I support our troops for fighting these manufactured wars. It's just a pity they have to.
If you want to post on a truck thread about your love for guns then I have the right to post my opinion. I don't think this is the place for either but I'm not going to sit by and say nothing.

Maybe it should be.

"Responsible people with them don't scare me- the ones that "have to have them to defend God and Country" do.... Seems they're the most paranoid , of what??"

Maybe losing their freedom to inexperienced people voting them away.

"To each there own, just not a big deal for me."
Make sure you vote that way then, because for alot of people, including the ones who wrote and died for our Constitution, it is!

Kinda surprised here that you don't have one of these in your back window and pack your rifle there. Guess i figured in your state there would be enough self respecting people that you wouldn't have to worry about getting your truck broken into.

If this was Facebook i'd have a whole bunch of "Like" links clicked allover this thread.

I'm thinking about a holster mount, as well, but may go to the center of the truck, instead of the door. Cool mod, Sharps!

I was thinking about putting a pintle mount on the roll bar of my Blazer. My friend talked me out of it.

John lee and his build (thread) are cleaned up a bit. Please stay on topic from here on out. Trolling the staff instead of contacting an admin over a disagreement will never end well. Thanks ..

Re: John Lee gets a holster

glad to see its back.

I've had the rear window racks in trucks before. Super handy in the woods. Unfortunately when you come to town and park, its easy to break a window and grab them. Under the seat works well for me.

Here's my wifes holster in her truck. She shoots skeet on Thursday nights with the girls and thought I would make it easier to conceal (yes, she is trained and licensed) when out and about. Its a sleeve lined with a slick canvas that croses the rear of the seat at a 45 degree angle. Flip the seat and grab the shotgun. Simple and out of the way.
