Re: What should i do to this truck

Put a 67 hood on it. It already has the 67 style fenders on it, then just trim the grill to fit. Of coarse, it probably sounds easier than it really is.

Aren't 68 chevy fenders the same as later GMC fenders?

I don't know, but by the way the ends stick out beyond the end of the hood, I'd say maybe..

I just checked GMC Pauls site, He lists 68 Chevy fenders as also 68-72 GMCs, so Id say yes.

So back to the original idea, put a 67\68 Chevy hood on it...............

im a bigger fan of the 70/72 hoods i like the steeper front, how it makes the front look bigger.

Re: What should i do to this truck

so i measured for the axle flip today and it looks like it will lover the truck a total of 5.25-5.5 inches. I am thinking at 5 inches drop i will definetly need to notch the frame. or else their will only be 1" between the axle and frame, then add a bump stop and it will basically just touch all the time. ah well thats how it go's.

That would be a good place to start, IMO , the trim makes these trucks.
