Re: Off to the Body Shop

Wow, that thing turned out nice. Looks like it will be a few more days before KY gets warmer. When the warm weather arrives here I will let you know.

Be sure to get some weekend cruising pics posted next week.

Re: Off to the Body Shop

Looks awesome, Kenny. That flat black looks ten times better and is one sweet truck! Congrats on the new makeover bud!

Do you have any pics of your interior? Black (flat black) is on the top three of my choices for paint (just about ready) and been looking for some interior color ideas. Thinking of a silver interior.

Awesome! I plan on shooting my '73 satin black in the near future. I know you said they used sealer. Do you know what kind they used? That's exactly the finish I want. Love it!!

Re: Off to the Body Shop

Looks great Kenny! The flat black sealer and the stance looks mean. I think I would go with a black and red interior. Nice job man.

Re: Off to the Body Shop

Thanks guys!

I still don't have it back yet, I'm jones'n... been cold and rainy/snowy here so couldn't do much to it anyways... Once it's done at the body shop this week, it's over to the mechanics for front end alignment, new front tires and maybe ball joints if needed. I have a Tonneau for it coming and a Alum box for the bed to be mounted for storing valuables when traveling.

I like the Black/Red combination for the interior. It has a Burgandy interior now but original builder tried to go all black inside but failed miserably.

Once I get it back, this spring I'm concentrating on the interior. I'll shoot some good pics with the Nikon and post 'em asap.

Scheduled to go to Pensacola later this month... would love to take it! Mechanic suggested i put the 700r4 in it first though. Will have to make a stop in Alabama and see CaptKaos!

Thanks Slash,

Tires are Firestone Wide Ovals P245/40 20s x8" up front and P295/40 20s x9.5" on rear. Wrapped around Torq Thrust IIs. They ride really well!

Seems like he said is was some type of Acrylic or Epoxy based sealer. Supposed to be very resistant to day to day wear. Just wash it and go.

I'll try and get the exact description tomorrow.

Thumbs up money well spent.

wow. in the first picture i wasn't sure it had been striped. i thought it was just the body line better accentuated with the fresh paint. i think the stripe really breaks it up nice.

truck looks sick(er) but healthier at the same time. you have to be stoked on it, it looks like it got extreme makeover'd.
