Cool Re: Cleargearz Diff cover!

I don't think a 1/2 ton D/D would spread the housing on a normal trip back and forth to work!

That maybe why you don't see them for other axles.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Whenever i seal up a diff i always do a tight skim coat of black rtv on the housing before the gasket, put the gasket on, then a real tight skim on that before putting the pan on. Torque the bolts easy and let it set before filling it up. Seems to work pretty well. Sweet video and your truck sounds NICE.

Probably not. Unless you let people like my brothers drive it.

Anymore, 90% of the time when I install diff covers I use sealer only and no gasket. Works great. I bet a skim coat will help seal yours up.

Guys sorry I never put up this video before. I thought I had. The first video it leaked. This one is good. It also shows the rear shock locator kit and adjustable track bar.

Re: Cleargearz Diff cover!

That's really interesting how the oil gets a little foamed up. But man does it keep the gears well lubed. I must be weird, I watched the whole 9+ minutes....
