I like the long boxes, but then I'm biased. I agree with the above opinions to keep it as close to how it is. You just don't see trucks in that condition. As for the price? Absolute bargain in my book. Down here, for that money, you'd be lucky to get just a chassis with a stuffed donk.

It is amazing that this thing has made it 42 years and still looks like this, especially on the east coast..And I thought everything in Cali was mint and rust free?? lol

I'm the wrong man to ask. I'm pretty sure those are the correct hubcaps for the Highlander option as well. Hit up member Special k. He seems to know a good bit about the highlander option.

And... if you really want a shortbed... and you really like this truck... I'd cut it. Chopping up trucks isn't a crime.

And I don't think you overpaid. Looks like you gave what she was worth.

Re: Acquired another one!

Wowsa! That is a super clean truck. I have to agree with some of the others- I'd find it really hard to modify anything on that one. If I was going to cut one, it'd be one that wasn't an intact original like this one..

Re: Acquired another one!

Well after reading all the positive an varying comments ... It's your truck an you certainly can do any changes/upgrades you'd like . Being into antique motorcycle scene for years now , the value and appreciation of original paint unmolested machines has surely come to light in the current value of those cycles . Will the old truck market reach those levels now or in future ? Time will tell but like the ol Motorsickle guys say .. It's only original once ! I for one would love to know that your truck would remain untouched an original condition for future resto references an the next generation of all things ol truck related to appreciate your fine truck ! Enjoy it as like these ol sickles of mine .. I am only the current care taker of 'em

Very nice, I have a huge soft spot for highlanders. That has to be one of the cleanest ones I've seen. I agree with whoever said not to change anything that's not reversible. But then again, it's YOUR truck! Best of luck with it!

Re: Acquired another one!

Your hubcaps are original and correct for a highlander package. How did you find the truck, personal contact, Clist, Ebay or none of the above? As far as price goes you got a super deal on asuper original truck and there are lots of board members that have paid more for less, including me.

If it was mine I'd put rallys on it, polish it up and enjoy driving the truck.

I found it on Craigslist about 120 miles away. Im really surprised nobody snatched it up? I guess not everyone is into longbeds (including me originally) but once I seen it I had to have it. I have a 69 SWB in a million pieces in my garage at the moment also

Re: Acquired another one!

$6800 seems fair considering it won't need any paint or rust repair.
