Looks good, I'm going to have to try that, I've got half a dozen glove box doors somewhere.

1-PU70 You should start a thread in the tech articles and tell everyone how you did yours, looks great I have been thinking about doing that myself for a while.

I can't believe you painted one of those from Javy! I think they look incredible with the billet look. Just my opinion though. Still nice either way!
Take care.

Here's a quick flat bezel fix for ya. Get a NEW bezel( @ $30 from any eBay vendor) because they aren't cracked. Get a piece of smooth FORMICA scrap from any cabinet shop. Layout the outside pattern of your gauge panel onto the back of the formica. With some careful measurement and trimming you can fit the formica perfectly into the front recess of your gauge bezel. Layout the new gages in whatever arrangement you prefer on the FRONT side of the formica. Carefully clamp the trimmed formica onto a piece of plywood or particle board. Using a HOLESAW set or an aviation sheetmatal FLYCUTTER in the correct size, cut one hole after another being careful NOT to rip the formica. Trim each gage hole with a drum sander in a drill. If your fitment into the bezel isn't perfect.... no sweat. Once your happy with the fit, ck the bezel to make sure all of the new gages will clear the bezel plastic. Trim it out of the way if it doesn't. Get some 1/8 " 12vdc LED's for turns and hi beam while you're at it and drill 3 holes above the tach/speedo. Now you get to attach the formica to your bezel. I tried a few different glues before I found what I think is the best and strongest. Its called "GORILLA GLUE". Get the formica damp and drizzle the glue onto it.You don't need a LOT. It will foam a bit and squeeze out the edges some but it holds like its namesake. Let it set up overnite with some weight on it to make sure it forms to the bezel curve. Trim off the squeeze out and fill the edge gaps all the way around with a little bondo. DA it all over and its ready for primer and paint. This thing looks great with my VDO's and LED's. Took me about 3 hours to do and the cost of the new bezel.

Ive got one in the works now from billet aluminum. and this is what i can tell you guys the glove box is the same as the dash in the case of shape and measerments but the glove box is thin stamped steel and it has a curve to the flat surface on the front. to mount gauges to a glove box they would need to be mounted through the front, no flush mounting. you can fab a plastic dash smooth and move the hole if you have plastic working skills. the billet aluminum is the most effective way to get the gauges to fit right and have them flush mounted like both the pics you see

Sorry 'bout the "no son" deal C/Wing, girls like trucks too !

The '67 is in pieces and in the middle of a color change repaint. I'm doing a smooth top dash panel right now that will hide the ugly radio grill, defroster vents and compliment the smooth gauge panel. My truck is a fair weather, summer only ride and I don't need to worry about foggin'. All of the smooth is coordinated with shaved drip rails, narrowed front bumper with no bumper bolts, heater box removed, handles shaved, a '96 step bed with the rear steps shaved and I bagged it too. I'll post it after its reassembled next month. Right now I'm trying to find the exact dark metallic blue to make it stand out.

If I can find an extra glove box door around somewhere, I will make one for ya' MrWilmoth. I will even make it fasten to the dash from the rear, so you don't see any screws....maybe KRUE will hook me up with a glove box door to experiment on. **hint-hint**
