Re: LFD's gas pedal adapters (71-72 gas pedals in 67-70's)

I am converting over to a 71-71 on my 70gmc. Do you have any of these left?

Whats the reason needed for this adapter. whats different between the cabs?

thanks

No difference in the carbs, just makes it a more reliable/cleaner cable rather then the bar for the throttle. Older models had a bar and not this cable.

Re: LFD's gas pedal adapters (71-72 gas pedals in 67-70's)

lol sorry, no difference in the CABS, just how the pedal mounted. This is all included in the kit. The pedal mounted to the floor prior to 71 and had a bar, not a cable. They use the same three mount holes.

What you are paying for is an adapter bracket and hard ware to bolt the later cable set up into the earlier linkage cab. The kit is not rocket science just time and connivence of a bolt in set up.

Yesterday was like a mini birthday! Got my pedal adapter, thanks Kevin! Also recieved my Camaro tach for that popular conversion, and ordered my stock gauge overlay. Sweet!

Yes I have a few left from this run.

The rest of you guys I am glad they showed up quick and that you are all happy with them. As you can tell for what you get and the time I spend making them I only make a few bucks per after shipping and what not but I know how easy it made it for me and just want to keep passing that along. Yes they could use some more sanding and grinding to get a show piece but since they are normally under the dash and carpet I just spend long enough on them to not go negative. Happy WOT.

There' seems to be a few '71-'72 gas pedal assemblies on the Parts Board for anyone looking.

What you get is an adapter bracket, plasma cut, belt ground with all the necessary holes ether punched or drilled and tapped. You also get short button head bolts for the mount to cab and 3 longer button head bolts with lock washers for the pedal to the mount. I also include photo instructions for trouble free install.

Thanks for the heads up. I also always see them in the pick-N-pull as well.

I am working like crazy and should have all that ordered as of this post in the mail by later this afternoon. Glad I made extras the last few days
