After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Did you notice the marks in the ash, to the right of the truck, that the helicopter made when it landed to check the truck and the FOOTPRINTS leading from that point over to and around it ?

Definitely was a set-up picture.

I don't have any from back when the trucks were new, have some pictures as old as the Mt Saint Helens one. I had this one when I lived in Flagstaff. I have others from the '80s

Maybe a '64-'65 Chevelle?

I spy a fullsize Chevy station wagon parked next to the pickup. I miss my '75 Caprice Estate. Woodgrain sides and all.

Nope it was a 64 Impala SS converitable he built while the trainer for Chevy in Charlotte NC.

Top right & middle mom's 68, I think after my brother bought it.

Left was my dad leaving for GM his first day.

Bottom my brother's wife sitting on the 64 SS in the drive way after my dad's picture.

Cool Re: Vintage picture thread

My dad got a new car every 3000 miles so he went through a bunch of cars. My mom got a new 67,68, and 69 camaro each year after he finished with them. Ned jarret of NASCAR bought one of them because we lived in Conover at the time.

That picture of my dad was in Yazoo Miss the day he left for Detroit Michigan. They gave him the car to drive to training when he took his position with GM. He had been working at the dealership in Yazoo at the time. They told him to pick out a car off the lot to drive.
Here is a shot of the 67 I think!
Bottom left, thats my sister and me standing there. if it's in 67 I was 7 years old.
Top row is of the little smoky camper they pulled with it to Fla every year. That's my mom in the first one and both of them in the other one in front of the house in Conover NC.
The one with all the trailer is after my brother bought it at his place back then.

This thread is a good idea.

Lets see some more of our trucks when they were "YOUNG" !!!
You notice the GMs are being transported by a GM, man what happened????

Love the thread though.

It was quite common in the 70's to see a GMC, like that one, hauling GM cars and trucks - NOT ANYMORE !!!

AND, you reminded me of a picture I have of an "old GMC" taken in 1976.

My 1971 GMC Astro 95 - with a couple of Deere's instead of GM's !!!

NOW - who's going to be the first to ask: " How did you ever get out of that parking space " ?

Talking Re: Vintage picture thread

this thing never get's old !
I post it from time to time and just sit back and watch !!!!!!!

some of the popular debated parts are
#1 is the truck a 67 or 68 ?
#2 what is the car behind the wreck ?
#3 is the vinyl top of the 67 camaro peeled up ? or is the top buckled ?
#4 who's fault was it ?
#5 where is it ?

fun all around

Re: Vintage picture thread

Here's a '67 I had back when I was a kid working the rigs. Musta been about 78 or 79 or so. Those days are a little hazy now.

Here some of that same truck 10 years later. The guy standing on the hood of the derby car is the same guy in the rig picture-me and Jeff been bros for 40 years now.

High School buddy-Clark had a 65 or 66 Galaxy convertable

One day, Jeff tried to pull Clark's Hi-boy Ford out of the mud with his Jeep.

He got it out, but the Jeep suffered.

Dang good times. Good thread.
