I've always pronounced it oh-kerr, with the emphasis on the first syllable.

ive found its OAK ERR..... have never heard it that way ever..... as other said i still like OAK RA better .. lol

then pronounce it using old Gallic Fusion.

Just to add a little confusion, the mountains west of the Salt Lake Valley are the Oquirrh Mountains, pronounced the same as ochre (oaker).

That settles it then...I am now inspired to paint my 69 "raw umber". Just have to figure out what PPG calls it...
