Re: Best aftermarket A/C
I narrowed it down to Vintage Air and Classic when I was doing my research and decided on Vintage Air. I felt the components mounted inside the cab vs. the engine bay would ultimately result in a longer lasting system as they are better protected from the heat and moisture of the engine compartment. Plus they are a Texas company and I like to buy local if possible. That was my logic when making the decision.
After I made that choice, I ended up buying their whole Frontrunner kit because I was planning a serpentine belt kit anyway. Since that decision I've learned that I could've saved a good amount of money on a GMPP serpentine belt kit, but ultimately have nothing but good things to say about the Vintage Air product. In hindsight, it was pretty convenient buying both the SureFit and Frontrunner kit at the same time. It comes with the low-profile compressor, the 140A alternator, the recommended power steering pump, etc. It all worked together pretty seemlessly. I was impressed. |

Re: Best aftermarket A/C
So Vintage Air has a bracket for a serpentine system? My friend has been looking for one that will fit a Sanden compressor and a serpentine system but says everyone only has one for the OEM pancake compressor. How about Old Air too Tim? Thanks
