Re: Project two tone.
Thanks! The fender has its minor dents and dings, but nothing bondo can't easily fix. The guy also think he might have a carrier so I am waiting on him. All I have on the bed for wood is a 4X6, it makes it easier to wash the frame when I haul dirt cause I can slide it out.

Re: Project two tone.
Has anybody used swaybars from Early Classic Enterprises, Classic Parts, LMC?
Thinking of using that setup and wondering what is a good quality bar. Early Classic seems to have a nice one, but they only sell them for the front and Classic Parts sells them for both front and rear. Pictures would be great! Thanks. T.J.

Re: Project two tone.
Check the 67-72 classifieds here also....have seen many good deals on sway bars there and just need new bushings & mounts if not factory optioned on your truck or previously installed.

Re: Project two tone.
Yeah, 292 with Clifford intake and Clifford short tube headers. With this intake all you have to do is use 5/8 heater hose and hook it up in those locations and your done, with the offey I believe you have to us metal line and drill in the rear block to hook up one of the lines( Don't count me on it). Let me know if you need any more info. Thanks. T.J.

Re: Project two tone.
Will do T.J. , The way I guessed it was a 292 was the dead give-away was the fuel pumps are in the middle of the block as opposed to to the front block like the smaller I6's. Hey if you need any good sites if I can help in any way, I'll throw them out for everyone to look at and are worth some good.
http://www.faxonautoliterature.com/ http://www.allamericanclassics.com/ The first one helped me with truck manuals so much to get a 1960-1966 full GMC/Chevrolet factory assembly manual, the full accessory manual for the corvairs, cars, truck, van etc, etc. The second one is a junkyard just south of my base (I still have yet to go there) that has 20 acres of classic and vintage cars and trucks. Hope it's helpful to anyone else who sees it and you as well. - D-Rock |

T.J. any idea of the part number on what appears to be a Lokar gas pedal? I need to convert my 66 to a throttle cable for my EFI setup. Thanks and nice truck!

Re: Project two tone.
Thanks for the info and fast reply! Any pics of the install or was it just a simple bolt in? I've got access to an 81 C10 which also has a cable so I'm not sure which one I'll end up with. Probably the easiest one to install since I'm not really set up for much fab work right now.

Re: Project two tone.
Here's a part number for the cable you will need, Stainless Steel Housing TC-1000HT, Black SS Housing XTC-1000HT, and Black Housing TC-1000U. You will also need a throttle cable mount. You can go on to WWW.Lokar.com for those. T.J.

Re: Project two tone.
Dang man! this thing is getting nice! Love the blue i always wished i had a can of blue paint in my hand when i started on my 64 lol! I think if i could do it again since i'm already doing a blue truck is satin black with a silver roof like how the white is on the 64. Then do the inside gloss black and silver. I wish i had your parts truck! my next dream is a 63 chevy 3/4 ton 2wd long bed step side with an org auto trans. Maybe then i can buy a car for a project get these dam trucks out of my system haha...

For Dillon Rock. I don't think you will want these. Bious tires are scary brand new let alone this old, and radial tires are scary when they dry rot! And UGH! Split rims!
