Re: LMC truck ?

Placed an order with them, took two weeks to get a shipping quote then was told that the delivery time was 4/6 weeks, when I reluctanly agreed I got an email asking if they could see copies of credit card statements before they would release the order. And all this took 3 weeks from when the order was placed....so I canceled, and kicked myself for not just ordering with Classic Parts as i'd done many times already. And they take 1 week from online order to arrival at my front door.

Re: LMC truck ?

Did they charge your credit card directly at order placement?

Is it possible to let the credit card company know that i don't want to pay gmcpaul because of corrupt behavior? that way the order would be canceled automatically.

Everyone has his favorite shop, lmc sucks, gmc paul not to good.

Brothers trucks made me very happy

No they had not charged for anything at that point, until they had given me the shipping quote and I agreed with that price then it would be charged and parts despacthed, but you can contact your card company and instruct them to block any withdrawal from your account from whoever. At least thats how it is here.

Exclamation Re: LMC truck ?

I received my large LMC order in 1 week via truck after I ordered through their website. All parts were packed well and met all expectations. I rarely get that service ANYWHERE else, period!

Re: LMC truck ?

Recently placed a large order with LMC and I recieved it well packaged in just 3 days. This is one of many orders with them and I have always had great service. I will probably try some of the other vendors in the future, but the free shipping on orders over $1000 helped me choose LMC this time.

Re: LMC truck ?

Talk to Wes at Classicheartbeat. He shipped my cab down here, you are a little closer!! He is in WA, where is your container leaving from? One week to shipping is cutting it pretty fine. Anyway you can email him at WEHEPP@comcast.net

Re: LMC truck ?

I think that the problem at LMC is that they normally don't do sales over e mail. But because i am from the Netherlands, that is my way to order parts.
And normally i have a more time before i need the parts but this time a container is waiting.

Re: LMC truck ?

If a vendor doesn't respond to any of my mails or even an order, than i don't think it is that good. In between my mails and order he has been posting on this board. I find it very strange that GMCpauls doesn't respond on an order for over 500 dollar.

But he doesn't answer my e-mail.

Arnold
Arnold,
GMC Pauls is a reputable vendor with vast knowledge of how these trucks are constructed. A 'spam' filter may be blocking your e-mail correspondence with him. That's a guess on my part. You may try reaching him thru the PM function of this board

Re: LMC truck ?

He has pm disabled and he has answered my mail once so he does get them.

My problem is that i cant speak English that good, and that i don't have a fax.
That is why i contact people over e-mail.
I understand that vendors get lots of e-mails. So lets cut the crap, one bad experience from me doesn't make a vendor bad. They can never keep everyone satisfied i think.

Re: LMC truck ?

For what is worth, I live close to LMC and have bought many smaller items. They do a great job. I have never had a long wait and they are good about returned items.

Re: LMC truck ?

I want to bring this topic up once more.
Everything came out right after all with the parts from GMCpauls.
I want to give them a thumbs up after all.

Brothers Truck also did a great job.

Re: LMC truck ?

I just ordered $14 worth of parts. A couple nuts an bolts and a Clamp for the rear coil spring. It all wieghs about 1.4 Pounds.

The "Thank you for ordering" mail came almost instantly.
I waited a week and didnīt get any feedback so I called them to check and see if they did get my order.
She said that it is there and she will check. The order is being processed and I should have a quote by the next day.

My quote came and they wanted $44 (10-15 Days) to send it here. *How Much!!!*

I asked them to send it the cheapest way possible because the truck runs and I donīt need the parts tomorrow. She said that there is no other way.

I asked what it would cost to send it to my brother and she said $7.
My brothers is going to forward it to me for $12.
That will save me $25. Why canīt they send it like that?

Oh well, the parts will be here one of theses days.

I think the next time I will order the stuff over the phone and see if it goes any quicker.

Re: LMC truck ?

I have not yet had any trouble ordering online with LMC. I ordered a small package, a heater control repair kit that cost $29.95, on Feb 28th, and it arrived via UPS on March 5th, 6 days later. Even though it was a small package, it held big rewards for me. I have had to control the heater cables and levers by hand for the last four years.

I see that they are now carrying Grilles for the 67-68 trucks, and as of their latest catalog, CB.51, they are now stocking a Billet Grill Insert, and industry first. I will still shop around, but LMC trucks have my vote!
