I had to do a search for it. I also left CheifRocka a message about it. He says he is working on this.

Re: 60-66 suburban message board

maybe just a sub forum of the builds section? with a link in the faq so people that are new can find it?
I have a 64sub.

I do think it would be nice to have all the burb/panel threads and info in one place, you can find the stuff if you do a search, but I think it would be easier to have a home for all the sub/panel info, especially if people start suggesting good old threads to move over.

Re: 60-66 suburban message board

I dunno, seems like a sub only board would slow things down. I guess I think of my truck FIRST as a 60-66, SECOND as a suburban. I mean, I love that it's a suburban, but I'd definitely need to follow 2 boards, then.......

I know it would be nice to have all the sub specific stuff in one place, too though. I kinda like the idea of a sub board for subs. Wait, what?

now I'm confused

Re: 60-66 suburban message board

how about a sub/panel/crew sticky thread up top with the other links instead of a whole new board...that you can ask specific sub/burb/crew questions and can always check in on it and find it up top without searching for it......just a thought.

Re: 60-66 suburban message board

This idea was brought up earlier this year in a different thread and has been mentioned a few times over the last few months. I too think it would be great to have a burb/panel sub-forum.

I keep my eyes open for a 2nd Burb, they are just too rare out here.

Re: 60-66 suburban message board

Liz mentioned to me this was attempted years ago (probably right after the thread was originally started)

Most people just stayed in the 60-66.

Seems to be more interest in them lately ...

I was thinking just one sub-forum for Suburbans (message and project) then see how it goes from there ....

Thoughts ?

John, that would work. Put it in the same area of the board as the current projects and builds sub-forum.

Re: 60-66 suburban message board

I kinda disagree, the subs are really for all intensive purposes nearly identical to the pickups anyways . I myself would probably not search another category and feel would miss out on info over there. I like everything bunched into the 60-66 board , it's like a magazine, you get to look at and read what you want.

I agree having the main forum 60-66 covering pickups carryalls and panels is best, but I would like to see a separate section in the builds

I agree; there is very little that gets discussed between the models other than body mounts and the difference in rear bumper. there is very little discussion about repairing rear sheet metal or rear doors on suburbans or panel,
it is just the pictures that most want to see I believe. there is a thread already for panels and suburbans. how often is it used?

I like this idea, just a sub (no pun intended) forum, right under the projects and builds.

I see it being exactly like the main page of the 73-87 board.

I think it should include subs and panels, since they share many similarities.

maybe the first post could be a gathering area for links to old and current sub/panel threads that we find, kind of like the faq post, and then you could use that to start moving the old threads over there.

The Stovebolt site has a Burban/panel section, it's slow but convenient. We're in for a separate forum or link or ?
