Re: tuba trucks
Thanks Clem.
Wish I had half your skills to get mine running. So far if I want to get my truck moving I have to find a really big hill. See ya in October! Merry Christmas |

Re: tuba trucks
picked up a couple of new additions to the flock.
a pretty nice 63 custom cab with a near mint grill and bumper. it also had all four chrome caps that were very good as is the windshield stainless. from what i've heard from the 63 guys... that stuff is hard to find. unfortunately the last owner tossed the hood and put on repop front fenders, at least the original fenders are in the bed. its a V8 with 3speed and if it got a big window conversion it would be a sweet driver... also got a nice 65... |

Re: tuba trucks
been working on a 63 no frills resto for a friend. went front disc and 5 lug out of an late 70s blazer. 350 and 700R is the plan, stepside, painted grill and bumpers and caps... this truck is for Cotton who owned the baby blue long bed with the spot lights that you may have seen on the forum. Cotton has a fun side to him and he loves to take a blank canvas and paint his own picture, so that was our goal. to do a nice but basic pickup for him to accessorize his way.
to start with he picked out the maroon color, decide on the 2 tone with white accents and he picked out the seat. so we're well on the way to making Cotton's canvas. |

Re: tuba trucks
Whew, I've pulled in a few trucks here and there but never two at once.
Totally diggin on those bumper guards. If ever you feel like gettin' rid of them can I be first in line? Now I have to keep adding to my collection. |

Re: tuba trucks
thanks. never had a 63 before but always liked the slant of the A pillar. the 65 came from a good bud and he did me right.

Re: tuba trucks
Clem,
That looks awesome. So I after seeing many of the two tone paint schemes with White tops I have discovered I masked mine lines wrong around the windshield. Oh well guess mine will be unique. Most people won't know the difference I guess. Love that color and the original restoration. It seems like everybody is slamming them with bags and ditching all original stuff. Nice to see one like this.

Re: tuba trucks
that seat looks really good in person! was wondering if or when you would show some pics of it on here! what two colors did you use to paint the headers on the blue truck, taking mine off today to paint later these week, they looked really good as well!
