Well it has been an extremely busy 2 weeks since Harleigh was born, ppl coming over, later nites than usual, but i still managed to find time for my truck, i removed all of the crossmembers from the frame, what a P.I.T.A job that was, rusted everything, then i procveded to clean the frame up with a grinder and a flap disc, well, let me tell you i was not happy with the results, me just being cheap and not wanting to sandblast the frame, well a decision was made and it went out to get blasted, MUCH BETTER. once i got it home i cleaned it up some ( trimmed some more excess metal off of it ) and proceded to box it in, got a lot of welding to do now and filling in holes, got over 3/4 of it done so far, so not off to make some bracing and grinding welds down, fill you guys in some more this week on my plans.

i was wondering if anyone had some straight pics of the front of the frame rails, one of the left side andone of the right side any help would be appreciated, need to see how straight they are, mine are slightly bent, dad hit a bridge in 76. thanks

well she is finally all welded up and i started grinding the welds down some, i did not box the front of the frame yet as my rails are twisted some, so when i go home for x=mas i will chop the rails odd of anoth truck of mine and splice them in so she will be square. on to some pics. plans for the weekend are finish grinding, weld all the holes in, c=notch it and start putting my crossmembers in. later

Well, time for a little progress report, i got the frame all boxed in, and then had to use my trustee frame staiteners to put her back in place, i wondered why they put crossmembers in there, man that was alot of grinding, i hate it. anyway, once i got the frame back in position, i started to weld in my crossmembers, got a few put in, and got my bed mounts welded back on and also my brake booster assembly in place, things are slowly coming along, onto somne pics

And some more pics, the frame so far, the white 08 CRV is the wifes she works at honda as an accountant, got one heck of a deal on it, she likes it, the 69 camaro is a customers, it will be a total rebuild, 468 BB, th400 in it, need to make money some how to fund my lifestyl, any way on to some pics. oh and one of my daughter, if looks could kill at such an early age and she already has a womans look, lol

Well i got home tonite at 4 pm, the wife is staying at her parents farm for the rest of the week with Harleigh and my dog dakota, so that meens off to the shop for me, i went out there tonite and made some new trailing arms for my truck, i think they turned out alright, should handle the horsepower i have, the reason for the ballistic joint is i want to be able to adjust the lenght of where the differential sits, and makes it nice and easy to do an alignment to it after, also the joint is teflon lined and there will be no friction as the arms are in their travel cycle, they will twist easy, no squishing the old bushing.

anyways on to pics. i may do this as a FAQ for ppl if they want.

what type of brake booster and pedal assembly did you use? that is exactly what i wanna do, but wasn't sure how to go about it or what to use.

the booster is a 7" and a corvette cylinder, i actually got the whole assembly from Scott's Hot Rods, great quality and service, you will also need 2, 2 lb residual valves, and a brake light switch, which they forgot to tell me about, however i will be using one for a street rod, as for the pedal assembly you could just use a street rod one, but the pedal may require fitment.

thanks for the help, if you don't mind, will you post some close-ups of it when you get a lil more of it done, so we can see how the pedal will attach and the whole set-up.

Wow, it has been a month since i have updated, i can not believe it, oh well, that is how it goes, been so busy with work and the kid and the wife that i just have not had much time to do things. Well to start off i cut a set of front rails off of a nother truck of mine at home to splice on this one, so then i proceded to cut mine off and align and center my front end. temporary clamped my crossmember in place and then went from there. once i got them atached and welded in place i boxed them in and then made some new rad support mounts and a couple more gussets here ant there. i am now where near done. just when i had and hour here and there i would go work on it. any way here are some pics. still deciding if i am gonna use the stock mount that i modified or build a new one, when i fiish with it i will decide., sorrry but i have to go to another computer to post the pics, brb

Well here are some more pics, and one of a new project of mine, i bought a 07 Yamaha R1 that the guy laid down, super cheap i had to get it, that is what i told the wife. I will admit one thing i am a total DUMD@$$. whenever i work on other ppls frames which involve cutting splicing welding.... i always bring out my frame table. well i thought because it was my frame and i did not want to go get it i would be alright, well truth be told i made a liar of myself, it took me an additional 7 hours to straigten my frame after i welded it, i feel like a bafoon, moral of the story is: never cheap out on yourself because it will just shoot you back. on to pics.

Seems like we always get busy after we start a major project. Please try to stay focused on this one, I'd really like to see it finished.
Nice score on the bike, easy fix, but now you'll want to be riding it instead of FINISHING this truck. lol

Havoc is a nice truck. I like all the custom work you are doing on the frame and i am also jealous of the parts on that table. Your motor will be awesome. Congrats on the daughter. A month after i began my build found out my wife was pregnant. Boy born 8-9-08. Keep up the good work and can't wait to see this project progress.

Well i got out to the garage for a bit this week, i got the front rails cleaned up and the rest of the cab mounts put on and got my crossmember bolted on and set the motor in. and of course to no suprise i messed up once again. why always on mine, oh well. my tubular crossmembers are in towards the center of the truck too much. so i now have to do alittle adjustment, but i came up with an idea already and i believe that it will tie into the overall theme better. As for the engine where it sit, i have to decide if i like it where it is, i think that i am gonna move it back 2 inches and down 1.5 inches, to get the center of the gravitydown and the weight transfer back. So much for my cpp tubular engine mounts, i am gonna just whack them up now, anyways on to some pics.

So i have got a bit more done on the frame now, i got my new transmission crossmember made and mounted in, i believe that i like it, still unsure, but it will work well for me. i then tried using a set of headers i had laying around and it is for sure now that i have to buid a set of headers, so i ordered a set of Hooker flanges and pipes and collectors, 1 7/8" primaries. The motor mounts from cpp hit the headers, so they may want to rethink their design. While i was at i moved the engine and transmission back 3" for better weight distribution. Once that was all done i bolted up my front suspension to see if i had any problems with things hitting, i do have to modify one mount yet for the power steering box. once that was done, i took some DOM tubing and installed it in the boxed rails for the powersteering box. just to add some strenght for the quick ratio box. once that was all done i just had to see what kind of height the frame would sit at on the ground. i know the frame e little lower yet once there is all the weight on the truck, but so far i am exrtemely happy, it feels like i am getting somewhere, anyways that was quite a novel to on to some pics.
