Re: Will this work for me?

OK, OK. I have a 1407 on a 355. They come from the factory slightly rich. I rejetted two sizes down on pri/sec and went too far, got surging and white plugs. rejetted to one size down and is perfect. You can read my signature for the other engine mods. I just installed a 4 hole 1" spacer and my burn out distance increased about 10 foot, I get right at 16 mpg at 80 mph, most of that is trans and rear ratio. I swore by Holley's, even when I was replacing the power valves, but over time I grew to hate them for daily driver use, the last one I still use for 22 pistol practice. It will take about ten minutes to change pri/sec, it all comes out the top, if you aren't drinkin coffee it may be shorter. You can get the jets from Jeg's/Summit for about 12 bucks for both and shipping. Go to Edelbrock website and you can download the complete manual for it including the jet chart. My 2 cents, steve

Re: Will this work for me?

I have looked for the place you work at but must be on the wrong side of town. Give me the name again and a land mark and I will try to find it.

If you see smoke, it is the place everyone is running away from, except Krue.

BTW I can't ever find it either unless Krue is there. That big city of Hattiesburg confoozes me.

Throttle responce may suffer
MPG may suffer.

Dyno sessions always work well with bigger carbs because there is no load. when you put that combo in the vehicle with a load, everything changes. The engine all of a sudden can't handle the extra air/fuel.

If anyone doesn't believe me about the 500 Holley 2-bbl, go to a short oval track and see what the superstock late model winners are running. There were a couple of teams here running 600 DP's. They couldn't get good hole-shots out of the turns. They started using the 500's. Now they're in the top three every race.

Steve I work at Zeon Chemicals. You turn onto west 7th off of 49 (go away from USM). The road is sandwiched between the bellsouth and u haul. It's kinda on the west end of Hercules (used to be part of Hercules).
