Thank you for the info.

I am in the process of installing the remote starter solenoid from Summit and while I got the headers loose would be a great time to install the heat shield.

Re: 71 C-10 Big Block Swap

Sweet!!! I have a 454 in my '69 and I love it. I am wanting a set of headers and found a set of Summit brand but I don't know how well they will fit. I used a set of Flowtech headers on my lil hot rod '85 S10 and they worked out great, very easy install. Your project looks great!!!

Re: 71 C-10 Big Block Swap

i know im only 19 blah blah blah... but im a firm believer in the 350... i have my dads old 350 in my tubbed truck and its been together for like 9 years? and that bein pushed by a 800 horse motor. and now its in my truck. but we had the drums turnt down so we could fit like 5 clutches in the front and 6 clutches in the back i beleive? dont quote me on that cause im not 100% sure but just sayin lol

Re: 71 C-10 Big Block Swap

I love TH350's, less drag on the engine. Im doing ok with mine but just a few test runs on it. Im counting on replacing it with in a year because i have a mental imbalance, my right foot does the opposite of what i want it to do.

Re: 71 C-10 Big Block Swap

Well I finished it up this weekend other than putting the hood on and installing the electric fan. Got the exhaust installed on Saturday and it sounds sweet. Should be taking it to the track in the next few weeks and if anyone cares to guess what they think it will run feel free to do so. I also have to thank DJRACER, and MRCHEVY4x4 for all of there help on the build.

Re: 71 C-10 Big Block Swap

Super nice truck, I was watching the videos and looks like the motor isn't moving around at all even when your giving it throttle. Must have had a nice balance job.
I'll say 11.50's

Re: 71 C-10 Big Block Swap

I got to ride in it this past weekend, and it's NASTY! It pulls like MAD in 3rd gear, and that's with only 3/4 throttle. Turns out the throttle linkage needs a little adjustment to get WOT. Can't wait to see it go down the track!
