Re: Moon caps + trim wheres - where to find?
Holy Damnit!
I just measured the wheels and they're 16.5"! I thought they were 15". Measuring the gap you showed in red is roughly 9-3/4" Measuring from nub to nub is roughly 10" The outer lip is 1" wide and 1-3/4" tall.

Re: Moon caps + trim wheres - where to find?
The one I measured I swear had 15" tires on it, but it measured 16.5" from edge of wheel to edge of wheel?

Re: Moon caps + trim wheres - where to find?
I can' already tell you, the lip is ~¾" on either side, which comes out to a nice round 15" wheel.

Re: Moon caps + trim wheres - where to find?
I was going by the size on the tire initially. I had just read somewhere on here that there were some kind of van wheels that were 16.5" and 5on5 lugs, so I was like, "what?!"
I had a senior moment.

Re: Moon caps + trim wheres - where to find?
Ah, the van rallys. They are 6 1/2" wide x 15".
I read that 16.5 " and I'm like (tool time Tim's grunt inserted here)! welllllllllll ok?

Re: Moon caps + trim wheres - where to find?
Did those moons turn out to be 10 1/8 ???
I'm planning on putting a pair up front and it sounds like 10 1/8 is the closest avaliable size. I'm running stock 15" steel rims up front. |

This is what I had in mind..like this shot of a 3rd member that N2TRUX found on the web....I like the simple look of these. I have a good, new set of wheels, but no rubber for them yet, so temporarily I thought I'd clean up the old stock wheels and run them for a while. My problem is I'm not sure these are 10 !/8 inch caps, and I don't want to order the wrong stuff. Last edited by DB Smith; 10-30-2008 at 10:15 PM. |

Re: Moon caps + trim wheres - where to find?
^^^^ Yeah, those guys are great. I got a lot of parts from them during my project.
I'm hoping these will work (in 10 1/8 diameter). They're cheap. http://store.hubcapmike.com/imp-m.html (thanks "Sinister") Last edited by DB Smith; 10-30-2008 at 10:43 PM. |

Re: Moon caps + trim wheres - where to find?
wow, this is the first time i've seen this thread and was surprised to see my truck.
this pic that DB posted looks exactly like my moons: i know this thread is old, but if someone needs the info, i can go pop off a moon or ring and get you some measurements. i can't provide any info on where to get them as they came with the truck. I do know the moons were made in Taiwan
