Re: Are my BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires discontinued?

Do you think these are worth $230 a peice?

Would it look weird to have the silver town radial on the backs and BF radial T/A on the front? I plan on running black sidewalls out.

At $230 each I would have to seriously consider the Michelin 31-10.5-15 at about $170 each. I run these on my Z71 (265-75-16) and they are a really good tire. Much more grip that BFGs, and many more miles than I get on the BFGs on my 72 C10.

Silver Town Radials have the exact same tread as the BF's With black walls out you are probably the only one that will notice.

Re: Are my BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires discontinued?

Coker tire purchases the actual molds from companies when they discontinue an item, had the same problem with my car, had one set of T/As for summer from BFGoodrich, and one from coker, I can assure you they are exactly the same. Hope that helps.

Re: Are my BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires discontinued?

I would be careful with putting on old tires. I have had an issue on my '83 K20 with older tires. A tread separated and did a number on the bedside. I was pulling a trailer down the interstate helping someone move. I think 10 years is the limit I would allow.

there are a lot more.

Buying 10 year old tires is a bit of a dangerous proposition.

Just as a word of caution. If anyone buys discontinued tires, you want to check the date codes on the tires. Even if someone found them "brand new" by a retailer, it means they have been sitting on a shelf for a LONG time and that is not a good thing for your safety

Re: Are my BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires discontinued?

i could be wrong but someone told me, that they make the 15" tires when they get a big order that's why they are hard to get, a matter a fact any 15" tires are hard to get and when you do they are double the price that they used to be
