Re: Pro Performance: '64 Suburban Build

Been a while since I updated, and just been busy here. I mostly update on Instagram but figured I would catch this thread up as well. Got the suburban over at paint, and the frame all dis-assembled. Been collecting parts over the last few months, so now I can start making some good progress on the frame.

Cool. I don't do social media so I was curious if any progress had been made

Re: Pro Performance: '64 Suburban Build

Got the engine in and mocked up, and trying to get the headers fitting. When I got the engine, it came with a turbo manifold already. It hit the engine mount, so I am going to have that modified and get the clearance I need. On the drivers side, I will end up going to a Hooker manifold, since the truck just doesn't quite fit.

Oh ok, thanks! It’s just a matter of swapping out a few fittings to mate with the LS, correct?

Correct, just have to get the metric banjo fitting. I am going to run AN hose, and then will put together a kit to compliment it.

Re: Pro Performance: '64 Suburban Build

Left for Battle in Bama show this week, but managed to get a few things done last weekend. I actually ended up putting our 14"/13" Revelator kit on my daily, and also got the arms and spindles hung on the suburban. When I get back, I hope to make some good progress and will have some parts waiting for me that are ready to install.

Re: Pro Performance: '64 Suburban Build

Got the rear end loosely mocked up, and start to plan the brake lines.

Re: Pro Performance: '64 Suburban Build

Little more progress photos. Started running brake lines on the rear end. Ordered up my aluminum driveshaft, and got our new trans cooler kit installed. It will be a universal bracket we sell with the Derale cooler. You will see the Endo tank mount too, which will be a new product for us.

Matador Rods and Customs (the painter), got the body blasted to start work on the outside of the body.

It will be very soon, as we are finalizing design and pricing. Once we announce a new product, we will have it on the shelf and ready. We don't plan to build anything to order, but rather have it in stock, ready to ship.
