For anyone going to this event…even thou is gonna b warm to say the least at this event, it would b wise to bring a rain jacket or light jacket along with a hat. It could all change tomorrow but there is a chance of rain both days.
I’m going, I don’t care. I’ve been waiting on this event long enough.With the amount of trucks that come here, it will b nice to see different ideas that people used to complete their projects. At any rate, I hope to see other board members there and I hope we all have a good time along with a safe trip both ways.

Changed the oil checked all the fluids . Packed spare radiator and heater hoses some tools just in case. Be heading out Wednesday morning drive about 9 hours see where we land for the night .

It’s changed a little from yesterday. The rain chance was around 50 percent. That’s what I was getting at, by Thursday it may not even show any rain n the forecasts. Have a safe trip mark. I planning to get off at lunch Friday, and b there by dark if not before. With the holiday traffic n the Smokey mountains and the interstates n Knoxville, I believe it may slow me up some but I’m gonna have the hammer pressed down when I can.

Your about a block from the Ramada I’m staying at . Eat at Logan’s steakhouse saw a nice Blazer in the lot

Made it ok . Few minor problems with the truck . A/C started to ice over after a few hours hardly anything coming out the vents . Turned it off and after a bout a half hour it was fine again. May be to low on Freon or the orifice is slightly plugged or too small. It may be me but the 700r4 lockup wasn’t working correctly. Shifted great but up hill it would go in and out of lockup. Again may be me haven’t driven one with the 700 for 25 years. I just shifted into drive and it was fine . And it may be the 3:23 gears too truck was getting 15 to 16 in OD and it dropped to 14 mpg in drive . This is at 70 to at times 80 mph if your not going that fast they run ya over

So far I’m at 987 miles for the trip

if you go out the back entrance of the park, and stay straight on tennessee ave til you come to the racetrac, theres a great pizza place just across the intersection to the right.
We will be heading up in the morning. my airforce crewcab and a buddy has a 1980 2wd crewcab dually.
