Re: Crazy Things That Happen in Cold Weather

Went out to start up the parts truck (Orange Crush) and checked the radiator. Solid green-brown ice. Nice. The lower hose was solid as were the heater hoses. None of the freeze plugs were popped though. After a little assistance from a propane torch the hoses were thawed enough to be squeezable. Started up after a few pumps then plowed the driveway with Pikes Peak hillclimb tires. It was about 10F for the past few days here and I was worried the block would freeze since I'm trying to sell it.

Anyone need a late-model smallblock? With a rockin' 2 barrel? Centerbolt valve covers?

i had to ace ventura it home and just took the back roads but it was fun tho even with the cold
Oh how many times I have done that. A few times after letting the windows defrost I would be driving down the street and hit a warmer patch of air and have my dam windows fog up completely. Where talking 0 visibilty! Nothing like scrambling to roll the window down which is missing the roller knob to see where the hell I am going. And seeing my breath inside the truck cab. Oh what the kids at the bus stops that I was trying not to hit must have been thinking...lol
