I do have a question though. Where would those stickers have been found? (the ones that says what motor and extras are on the truck)

Re: Love thy neighbor .....66' short fleet.

Thanks guys so much, you know I saw this truck last December driving down the road to the auto parts store, I inquired about buying it back then....speaking to the spry owner age 94 I believe (and he was being driven ), he said it was very rare to find a 292/auto combo (is that true?) so he would want an outrages amount of money for it. Here,s a few more pic's.

BTW- That's a pair of gloves on the mat, not what you think!

Re: Love thy neighbor .....66' short fleet.

Well, my 64 3/4 ton came with a 292 and a powerglide. I wouldn't say it is "Rare" it is somewhat...but won't make more value..because of the looooong rev travel before shifting...and a 6 likes to shift quickly.

Re: Love thy neighbor .....66' short fleet.

Whenever I'm taking a dump and the doorbell rings and it's someone asking me to buy something..... how come it's never a nice Chevy short fleet ?

Nice truck. Everything happens for a reason. Enjoy.

Re: Love thy neighbor .....66' short fleet.

Do you guys think it would be a crime to remove the spotlight or the bardon rear bumper?
I am planing to replace the bumper with a matching painted white sport style bumper. ("if" I can find one )

Re: Love thy neighbor .....66' short fleet.

Spotlight needs to go. But then you have to paint the roof if you fix hole or use a cover plate. Bumper is good either way.
