Re: project bagged 63 c10

Took out the springs to start to get an idea on how low it will before I get ready to install the step notch in the back. Def hope to have it a lot lower than that though haha

Re: project bagged 63 c10

This is as far as I have gone. still waiting on bags, brackets, and step notch to come in to make some more progress. Not too bad I guess for only having it back a month and only working in it on the weekends.

Re: project bagged 63 c10

At a stand still till my bags brackets and stepnotch arrive. Hopefully today. Atleast managed to pull the motor and tranny out of my parts car and bring my frame back in and flipped over so I can drill some rivets for now

Thank buddy I've been building models since I was a kid. Built it after looking at this site after becoming as obsessed as the rest of the members on here. Beautiful truck by the way....I've read your build thread a couple of times.

Just figured out how to respond to posts now sorry for not knowing how to respond sooner lol

Thanks buddy, I love your truck too! was my truck when I was younger and has been sitting in as collecting black widows and dust. I found a few black widows and pulled the entire truck apart. This where it stands now I have a bunch of more tear down pics. Up to this point.. It's kind of funny u ask. I really like ur rear setup and am using it as a model to go by.... Hope u don't mind. Do u have any problems with the trailing arms twisting at all? Up front cup the lowers and bag plates up top. Wish I had the balls to section my crossmember or z the frame but for now low budget build and will save for the pb dropmember once everything else is where it needs to be.

Re: project bagged 63 c10

Had a portion of my parts show up.
Was killing time waiting for a roof I was painting to flash off to clear so I etch primed my brackets so they wouldn't rust on me

Not a c10 but here was the end result...

Thanks means a lot I didn't really think anyone really looked at my page lol. I try to get as much time in as I can...while working many overtime hours and spending as much time as I can with my girlfriend and 2 yr old daughter.

Re: project bagged 63 c10

I feel like i haven't really gotten anything accomplished lately. Just a couple of small updates. Drilled the holes for front upper bag plates. Finally removed the rear upper shock cross brace and angled cross brace behind rear end to prepare for my step notch. Def lots of rivets....I'm sure you all feel my pain too, glad that part is done though haha

Flipped the frame back over and put all the suspension back on to setup for mock up. And made some templates to cut out tomorrow for my rear bag brackets.

Decided I had too many parts floating around so I threw the front bags in to check it out....not so thrilled not sitting nearly where I was hoping but that's ok. about to make some good progress in the next couple of weeks!

Next on my list...
install my step notch
Cup my lowers
And pancake my front crossmember
