They have a real good write up on this in the Jalopy Journal. Here is the link, bur you may have to join before viewing it, if your not already a member.

Post is under the General Discussiion/Tech-O-Matic page
Titled, Frame S-10 frame swap...Tech

If you have not visited that board, those are ver SERIOIUS dudes over their. Very opinionated, but very wise. I just watch mostly and learn.

EDIT NOTE:
I have a Microsoft Word Document writeup with pictures on putting a 67-72 front end on the 48-55 frame. If your interested, PM or e-mail me your e-mail and I'll send it to you. It's a fair sized file (about 300KB), so if your on dial up it may take a while to download.

I found an 83 reg. cab s-10 longbed frame and measured the wheel base from axle to axle and it was 120. yet reading in other post they say the wheel base is 116. Am i missing something here?

couldnt you just make a fullsize frame narrower? I would think with a high HP motor it would be better than an S-10 frame ? maybe not JMO

the s10 frames are just about the same thickness if not the same as of a full size truck frame plus the s10 frame is wider. i know several folks who are running hi output motors in thier s10's w/o problems & one guy has a 502 in one & i have one under my burb that has a 425 caddy in it. so i dout there should be a problem. & narrowing a frame would be APITA....joe
