Re: For Sale: Billet Aluminum Dash Panels

Nice gauge panel also love the attention to detail. My question is how many people are running a 3 3/8 gauge in the middle? I would prefer not to have that hole there but I can only speak for myself. Autometer is very slim pickings on the 3 3/8 gauges and the 2 5" and 4 2 5/8 would be perfect for me. If that were the case you have me sold!

that looks awsome, does autometer still make a 3 3/8 clock? that would look nice in that spot. very interested.

Re: For Sale: Billet Aluminum Dash Panels

Ryan - I think the only way you are going to be able to make these in any quantity is to "put your foot down" and say the main style will be (2) holes with provision for 5" Gauges and (5) holes with provisions for 2-1/16" gauges. Otherwise everyone is going to dictate what they want and you will have several different programs.

How to find the happy medium? Put a poll up in the regular 67-72 forum with some renderings of the different styles you are willing to offer. I can help with that if you need me too - just say the word. (PM me).

If you do 2 5" holes that these gauges will fit into, I will take 1.

There was also another fella from Calgary wanting one. If he buys also maybe could combine ship???

Re: For Sale: Billet Aluminum Dash Panels

when can we get these? i want one.. this is the best dash i have seen out there.....you should really try and marked these they look great. i would seriously talk to some people about this (i e ) a billet distributer. my brother use to make a custom skid plate for 4x4s about ten years ago... he took it to someone and ended up making a small fortune off his idea.. he then sold the blueprints. and rights to the parts..........

Re: For Sale: Billet Aluminum Dash Panels

Just an FYI, Autometer 5" gauges need a 4 5/8" opening (dooh...) 2 1/16" gauges mount in a 2 1/16" opening.

Re: For Sale: Billet Aluminum Dash Panels

Well Guys I am a little over whelmed with the response for right now. I showed these gauge panels to several of the restoration part shop and was told they were not interested. I am going to probably lean toward making one or two gauge layouts. I downloaded the info from Autometer but thanks Tony for posting the link. I will probably leave the gauge layout the same with five 2 1/16" holes and then two 5" (really 4 5/8") gauge holes. It takes time to modify and test the programs. Also like I said before my machine is loaded up right now with work. My main business is an engineering firm and right now I have some big contracts going on and have to travel extensively so I don't respond right away it is because I am either on a plane or unable to access the net. But I will post 3D model pictures and part numbers and pricing in a bit. Thanks for the interest and I will try my best to get the infor together as soon as possible. I also have my designer working on the glove box door and will post 3d models of this.

Shane,

I have a Fadal 40X20 4 axis machine. I have attached a picture of my machine shop.

Re: For Sale: Billet Aluminum Dash Panels

Are these going to be a one time run or are you going to be making these as orders come in. Reason i ask, I would like one but my truck is far from ready for guages. Still in a bunch of pieces.
