I am going to rewire mine, 2001 avalanche setup. It just barely puts out 13.5to 13.8. My truck has a factory voltmeter and the charging turn on comes from it (brown wire) I wonder if it has the correct resistance. Jay

I would get the alternator checked and then the correct resistor in line as shown above.
